• I didn’t realize how distracted I was until I found myself calling out Daphne’s name when referring to Jenna. My assistant wasn’t pleased at all by that. It was only thanks to Jenna scolding me that I was able to snap out of it and focus on work over the past few days, instead of letting my thoughts linger on Daphne.
• “If we had a time machine, Ash, I would go back and say yes.” It didn’t matter how many times I scrutinized the words through different angles to find out the meaning, I always arrived at the same place. Daphne was talking about my confession right before she left home.
