Chapter 13 Untimely Return

• There was still an awkwardness that I couldn’t shake after finding out Daphne was pregnant. What did I do after leaving Dad’s place the day of the confession? Well, I did the most effective thing I could, which was return to the office and focus on work.
• In the space of a month that passed, I only went back to my apartment about five times. Most of my time was spent at the office. A comfortable couch, a good-sized shower I used every morning, plus I could wake up to work anytime. It was the most effective. Thoughts of Daphne were completely pushed away.
