Chapter 13 Suspicion

• Audrey's eyes blinked a few times and squirmed when she woke up from her slumber. Slowly, Audrey turned her gaze—to the clock—it was four in the afternoon. Audrey's eyes widened. Good grief! Audrey had been asleep for a long time.
• “Tch! Why did I take such a long nap?” Audrey muttered in annoyance to herself. Then, Audrey turned to the side—looking at the bed where Xander was supposed to be. However, unfortunately Audrey had to swallow disappointment when Xander was not by her side. Though Xander should be by her side. Before Audrey took a nap, the woman had already told Xander to catch up with her.
• Audrey took a deep breath. The woman pulled off the blanket, and got out of bed. Maybe Xander has a lot of work to do. That's what Audrey had in mind. Then, Audrey stepped out of the room. Audrey was about to head to the kitchen to get a drink. However, Audrey's steps stopped when she saw the maid in front of her.
