Chapter 65

• Jordan Carter was on a role. He had walked away with three Grammys, two Teen Choice Awards and one MTV Award. This, of course, was cause for celebration. Ryan went all out for the party and the who’s who of showbiz were all invited. Lana stayed faithfully by his side and basked in his glory. She still hadn’t told him the news and was getting more anxious as the days passed by.
• They were at his celebration party and at least she didn’t have to explain to him why she wasn’t drinking. Ever since Preston died, he had cut down on his drinking and stopped smoking anything and everything. He had embarked on an anti-drug campaign and mental health; going around schools and educational institutions promote the primary prevention of drug abuse and educating them on the dangers.
• Lana was on her way to the bathroom and stopped abruptly when she saw Jordan and Lexie against the wall. She couldn’t hear what they were saying but she didn’t like the way Lexie’s hands were all over her man, but from where she was standing he didn’t seem to mind.
