Chapter 3 A Disaster

• Serena's P. O. V
• “Thank you so much Alessandro. If not for you, I don't think my family would have survived till today. I thank the Lord for letting me meet you” I expressed my gratitude to him,
• “Silly girl, you're talking to me as if we just met yesterday. We are good friends! What are friends for?” he said narrowing his eyes at me.
• “Thank you so much, really, I'm super grateful, you're like an Angel God sent upon us” I said.
• “And this Angel sent by God is saying you should stop thanking him, ok?” he said with a smile.
• “Ok” I smiled.
• “Good, now go back and take care of them, I'm leaving” he said,
• “Don't you think you should wait a little bit, the day has not brightened up yet” I suggested, looking at the morning sky,
• “You know my mum, don't you? I have to be back home before she comes visiting or else” he said, tying his hair with a rubber band.
• “Ok goodbye, I think I should go now” he patted my shoulder before walking out.
• I was about to walk out with him when his voice rang out ;
• “Don't follow, go back and rest, ok?”.
• I smiled watching his back go further and further away from me. I really don't know how to repay his favour. He helped me clear the medical expenses, he brought good food for us almost all the time.
• He even bought me a new pair of flip-flops.
• I looked down at my feet.
• They were so pretty and pink, very cute!.
• I walked back into my mum and sister's ward.
• “Has he left?” Isabella, my sister, asked
• “Yes, he has left” I answered.
• I walked to my mum's bed,she looked.. uncomfortable,
• “Mum are you ok? Are you feeling uncomfortable?” I asked, feeling her forehead. It was ok.
• “Cough.. cough… cough… cough” she coughed out blood
• “Mom mom, take it easy, I've told you not to hold it in, why do you keep doing that?” I just realised that she was holding in a cough.
• “Cough... cough…cough ... .cough” she coughed even more with a painful expression on her face.
• I quickly gave her pain reduction medcine and fed her water. She gradually calmed down.
• “Please stop doing that mum, I feel pain too you know” I spoke as I cleaned up the thick blood she coughed out with a mop.
• “I don't like seeing you worried about me” she said, showing a very sad expression.
• “You make me more worried than usual when you hold it in” my frown getting deeper.
• “She always does that, I've told her many times too” Isabella chirped in,
• “Why are both of you scolding me?” my mum pouted.
• “When you do bad things, you get scolded!” I reprimanded even more
• “Ok ok ok, stop scolding, I won't hold it in anymore” she said, her hands in the air in a ‘surrender’ motion.
• “I don't trust you!” Isabella said,
• “me too” I joined in,
• “Ok fine, I promise” she smiled
• “Mom, please don't do that again” I said engulfing her in a hug,
• “Don't cry, I won't, I've already promised” she patted my head, hugging me back.
• “You'll be fine, we'll all be fine” Isabella got down from her bed and joined in the hug.

• A black rolls royce drove into a huge ‘palace’ like gate, leading to a magnificent, beautiful, huge and white building. It stood like a proud palace!.
• The rolls royce drove and stopped in front of the magnificent building.
• A man who was dressed as a butler opened the back door as soon as the car came to halt,
• “Welcome young master” the butler bowed ninety degrees.
• “Where's my mother” Nevan asked as he got down the car.
• “Old madam is inside, she just arrived” the butler answered, still bowing.
• Nevan walked into the house with Li Zhe following him from behind.
• A female voice rang out immediately he entered the house, the voice came from the living room,
• “Nevan! You're finally back!”.
• “Come here quickly!” the voice beckoned.
• Nevan was heading up the stairs before he heard her voice. He changed his direction and walked straight into the living room, with Li Zhe following him like a puppy.
• “Yes I'm back” Nevan spoke with a hint of indifference, his face very calm.
• “A disaster is about to happen, sit, sit quickly, let me tell you now” the woman beckoned for him to sit.
• Nevan sat down on the black and gold sofa like a king on his throne, calm and collected with a hint of indifference.
• “Go on” He said
• “My son, you have to act very fast, I mean super fast. You know how the traditions of this family is, don't you?” she said.
• “Ma, I know. Please go straight to the point, I have somwhere to be” he said
• “Your father's brother's son, Joshua, just got married, do you know what that means?!” she asked, her voice higher than usual,
• “I do” Nevan answered very calmly
• “then why do you look so calm? ” she asked.
• “What does his marriage have to do with me?” Nevan asked in response
• “Alot! My son, you're birth right might be taken away from you!” she said, looking like she was trying to shout some sense into him,
• “My birth right is going nowhere” Nevan said
• “Good! Do something! , call Olivia and..” she was interrupted,
• “No, I won't call Olivia, I know what to do, you don't have to worry” Nevan said standing up,
• “That's my son, I can rest assured now” she said with a smile on my face.
• Nevan walked out of the living room and headed up the stairs. He stopped and ordered.
• “Go prepare the car, we'll be out soon”.
• “Yes master” Li Zhe bowed and left.
• Nevan freshened up and changed his clothes.
• Walking to the car parked in front of the house, Li Zhe opened the car door and he got in.
• “Master, where are we going” Li Zhe asked, sitting in the seat beside the driver's,
• “To Sujan hospital” Nevan answered and commanded.
