Chapter 52

• ROSE
• So I take a deep breath, and I start to move. I walk back to our apartment, my heart heavy with sorrow, my mind racing with thoughts of what to do next. I don't know what the future holds, but I know I have to keep going. For Jake, for myself, for our family. I have to keep going.
• As I walk back to our apartment, I feel a sense of hopelessness wash over me. I've tried everything, and yet, I'm still no closer to saving Jake. I'm starting to lose faith, starting to wonder if there's any point to even trying anymore.
