• I feel a chill run down my spine as my father's words echo in my mind. Seven months. That's all I have. Seven months to conceive a child, to prove to my father that my marriage to the triplets is real. I think about the implications of what my father is asking. Werewolf and Lycan women typically take six months to conceive, but that's just an average. Some women take longer, while others conceive almost immediately.
• I feel a wave of anxiety wash over me. What if I can't conceive? What if I'm one of those women who takes longer? What if I have some underlying medical condition that makes it impossible for me to get pregnant? I think about all the things that could go wrong, all the ways that I could fail. And with each passing thought, my anxiety grows. I feel like I'm trapped in a never-ending cycle of fear and doubt.
