• As I stand there, frozen in terror, my father's voice continues to berate me, his words cutting deep into my heart like a sharp knife. I feel like I am drowning in a sea of shame and embarrassment, unable to escape the toxic emotions that are suffocating me. "How could you be so careless, Amanda?" he thunders, his voice echoing in my mind long after the call has ended. "How could you not even notice that you had fibroids? You're always so reckless, so impulsive. You never think things through."
• I feel a surge of shame and embarrassment wash over me, and I look down at my feet, unable to defend myself. I know that my father is right - I have been careless, I have been reckless.
