• Never ever ask yourself— what’s the worse that could happen. Laura made a mental note to stay away from asking the universe for answers. She’s certainly had enough twists to last her for the next two decades of her life.
• It was day three since the traumatizing event at the prison with King’s father.
• Laura had refused to speak with anyone ever since King took her back home. One could say she was still in shock. Dave and Maddie were extremely worried about her change of attitude, they tried finding out what was wrong but all she offered was that she wanted to be left alone.
