Chapter 13

• The previous night ended quite surprisingly for Laura. Narrating her ordeal to Maddie and Dave she got to find out that they knew all what he had to say since he had already been to the house earlier on. And what got her pondering right now as she stood in front of King’s gigantic gate was the fact that her uncle seemed to be in the know of whatever he wanted to discuss with her.
• When she had probed further all Dave could offer was a laugh and a shrug saying he was not in the position to reveal.
• Checking her phone to see the time is just two minutes past 4pm. Laura breathed out a huge sigh. She knew what his days were like and she decided to come at a time when she guessed he would be back home resting.
