• Harper's POV
• Nathan stays behind me, his hand never straying from my throat. He’s not gripping too tightly, just enough to let me feel him there, controlling me, guiding me, keeping me grounded while the rest of my world tilts. Every now and then, his fingers shift, brushing the rapid beat of my pulse like he’s taking inventory of just how much I can handle.
• “You’re doing so well, baby girl,” he whispers, his lips brushing the curve of my ear. “Taking everything they give you without complaint. Letting them ruin your mouth just like a good girl should.”
