• Grey had received a letter the next day telling him to wait at the airport. It was dark outside and almost about to rain. Grey sat in the Range when it began to drizzle. He wound the car windows up, put on some music to kill the silence, then sat still, observing. As far as he knew, he was still sick and wouldn't be reporting to work that day.
• He watched a plane land, roll a bit, and came to a stop. Someone stepped out in black, opened an umbrella, then a white man with dark shades and a crew haircut stepped out of the plane under the umbrella. He came out with a few other men in black carrying dark-green crates. There were Escalades waiting by the side of the plane, they stepped in, then drove off.
• Grey followed, keeping a considerable distance between him and the vehicles, following them through turns, and traffic till they got to a warehouse. Grey stopped across the road, watched them get in, then put a small black earpiece in his ear, and listened.
