- The nights stretched longer now.
- Amara sat on the edge of her bed, robe half-tied, damp hair curling over her shoulders, the city casting slow-moving lights across the floor. She hadn't slept. Not really. Sleep had become a stranger since Lucien touched her again. Since he looked at her like she was a dream he didn’t deserve to wake from.
