Chapter 1

  • I knelt before the most renowned witch, Jery, and begged her to erase every memory from my mind.
  • She stared at me, her emerald, green eyes reflecting my hollow image: a gaunt face, lifeless eyes, chapped lips—nothing like the cherished Luna once treasured by the leader of the Bring Pack.
  • I looked more like a Rogue cast out by her kind.
  • “Why have you come to me?”
  • I glanced at the mirror beside me and let out a bitter, hopeless smile. “I want to forget someone. But the Pack doctor… they won’t help me. They all obey him.”
  • The witch gave me a long, thoughtful look before gesturing for me to lie down on the recliner.
  • As she prepared her ritual, she asked, “Is there any wish left unfulfilled?”
  • I shook my head without hesitation.
  • She paused for a moment, then let out a soft chuckle.
  • “So where should I send you, then?”
  • “You must know,” she said, her voice smooth yet sharp, “I’m the most famous witch. Many werewolves have come to trade with me—seeking wealth, power—offering hefty prices in return.”
  • “But you… such a beautiful, broken wolf… You came here to lose everything, just for a clean slate.”
  • “You do understand, don’t you? Memory erasure is irreversible.”
  • I licked my dry lips, nervously clutching the hem of my shirt. She continued calmly.
  • “After this, you’ll become a wanderer with no past and no place to go. So, I need to know what to do with you. I don’t want trouble following me.”
  • I bit my lip and thought for a long while. In the end, I left her a name and a number.
  • “This is my Alpha’s number. Once it’s done, please contact him… have him take me back.” My eyes reddened. “If he doesn’t want me… then just leave me at the cabin by Moon Lake.”
  • Jery nodded in agreement. After all, beneath it all, she was still a woman too.
  • “Then let’s begin.”
  • A vintage clock swung rhythmically before my eyes, while eerie, seductive whispers echoed around me. My memories began to flood back like waves crashing over my mind.
  • My Alpha parents had rejected each other. They both fought to keep my sister beside them because Pack doctor said she might evolve into Alpha, while I was just a lowly Omega.
  • I was just a child, curled up in the corner, trembling as I begged them not to abandon me. I promised I’d be good, that I’d study hard and take care of them.
  • In the end, those once-loving parents dragged each other to the werewolf court.
  • My father, the leader of the Whitetree Pack, won. Without a shred of hesitation, he chose my sister.
  • My mother and I were banished, branded as Rogues. She, an Omega who couldn’t even fully shift into a wolf, grew more furious every time she looked at me. She hit me, cursed me, blamed me for ruining her life.
  • I survived, barely, and eventually got into the top werewolf academy.
  • Then the scene shifted.
  • At 18, I met Alpha Mike.
  • He was the light that pierced my bleak life. He stood by my side, giving me strength and resources, raising me to become the most sought-after Luna in the packs—and then, he proposed.
  • I thought the Moon Goddess had finally smiled at me.
  • I loved him. I was grateful. After we married, I poured everything into being his Luna, waiting for the day I would finally shift.
  • Until six months ago.
  • Alpha Mike, for the sake of my sister Lina, forced me to donate part of my liver—even though I was on the verge of my own transformation. I was afraid of pain. I didn’t want to do it. But he grabbed my chin, stared at me with those piercing blue eyes, and said, “Anna, do you know why I chose you as my mate? Everything I gave you… was just to get the liver that can save your sister.”
  • I wasn’t stupid. It hit me instantly.
  • I looked at him, heart shattered. “Mike… did you ever… love me at all?”
  • His voice was calm. “Anna, the one I loved was your sister. I loved her deeply. But I made you a promise—if you save her, our bond remains valid. As long as she lives, I have no regrets. Even if she’s not my mate.”
  • It was in that moment I realized… all of Alpha Mike’s affection had never been meant for me.
  • But I loved him very much. I depended on him too deeply. He was the best thing that had ever happened in my miserable life—and such an irresistible man.
  • I didn’t want to lose him. So, I agreed to the surgery, even though I could feel my transformation drawing near.
  • The operation succeeded.
  • I lay weak and barely conscious in my hospital bed, listening through the wall as Alpha Mike and my father cheered with joy.
  • I shed silent, bitter tears.
  • I had just gone through major surgery… but the two men closest to me—my father and my husband—didn’t care if I lived or died.
  • All they cared about was the precious Lina, the one they held so dearly in their hearts.
  • Now that they had her, what use was I?
  • From that moment on, I lost all hope for the future.
  • My world faded to grey.
  • Thus, while Alpha Mike was helping Lina recover, I contacted Jery in secret and asked her to perform the most thorough memory erasure in history.
  • When the hypnosis ended, I slowly opened my eyes, feeling unbelievably light—as if the heavy chains crushing me had finally fallen away. I was brimming with a vitality I’d never felt before.
  • Jery nodded in approval, then picked up the number I’d left her and sent a message:
  • Your Luna is with me. You have three days. Come get her.
  • I had no memory left. I didn’t think about Mike’s reaction. I didn’t care.
  • A few hours later, they found me. In a little shop marked with a werewolf crest.
  • I was blowing bubbles without care in the world.
  • Alpha Mike stormed in, eyes blazing. “Anna! Are you a child? Running off without a word—what the hell were you thinking?!”
  • The old me would’ve snapped back, told him how unfair he was, how much he’d hurt me.
  • But now… I was just a lost little wolf, with no past and no idea where I was headed.
  • Frightened by his rage, I dove behind Jery and hid.
  • Mike and his Beta assistant followed me inside. He frowned at my confused expression, then turned to Jery and demanded, “Who are you? What did you do to my Luna?!”
  • Jery snorted with laughter, her eyes dripping with mockery. “I’m Jery, the witch. Two months ago, your Luna came to me, traded everything she had, and asked me to erase all her memories.”
  • Mike stared at her, stunned.
  • Then he looked at me again. This time, his expression was… indescribable.
