Chapter 3

  • Christian looked at Scarlett in confusion for a moment. Why the sudden question?
  • "You want me to introduce you to my father?" Christian questioned her, furrowing his eyebrows.
  • "Yes. I would love to meet your father since we are engaged and would soon be getting married. Don't you think it is right for you to introduce me to your father?" Scarlett said, batting eyelashes at Christian like she was sweet and innocent and not a cruel manipulative bitch.
  • "You're right but I don't think it is necessary for me to introduce you two. You will dislike him." He replied.
  • "Are you saying this because you think I am not worthy of meeting your father? Or you think your father wouldn't approve of our relationship because I'm not worthy of being your woman?" She hissed, folding her arms across her chest and glaring at him.
  • "What the fuck? No, my love, please don't misunderstand me. I am the lucky one here to have such beauty as you as my woman." He tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I love you, and I know we belong together."
  • "Then introduce me to your father." She closed the gap between them by kissing his lips.
  • Christian smiled. "Fine. I will introduce you to him tomorrow at lunch."
  • "You always make me happy." She whispered, pressing her body against his
  • Christian's hands rested lightly on her hips.
  • "You know, I am going to do anything just to make you happy."
  • "I love you," she smiled. "And, you know what," she bit her bottom lip, seductively.
  • "What?" He smiled brightly.
  • "I will let you fuck me all night long." She squealed, blushing.
  • AT NIGHT
  • Layla could hear thuds and moaning sounds coming from Scarlett's room.
  • All she could hear was their moans filling the night silence.
  • Layla couldn't continue writing her story because of the disturbance.
  • She scowled, wanting to rush into Scarlett's room and yank her away from Christian.
  • She rubbed a hand on her tight chest as she shut down her laptop then climbed the bed, to groan into a pillow.
  • Screw Scarlett. And screw Christian.
  • She hates when they do this to her, all the time.
  • She was sure there was some rule somewhere about not crushing on your sister's boyfriend, and maybe she would stop having these naughty thoughts, but she can't help liking Christian because he was awesome. And freaking hot. She can't deny that she had imagined what it would feel like to touch him and kiss him, to stare deep into his piercing blue eyes or to hug him—or have sex with him.
  • The warmth in her cheeks expanded until it felt like they were on fire, and she pressed her face into the pillow again, trying not to listen to the moans and clamping of flesh.
  • Can't they keep it down for a second?
  • Huh.

  • The Next Day.
  • Christian left for the White mansion in the morning to get ready for Scarlett's arrival. He was going to introduce her to his father at lunch. He didn't care if his father was going to approve of their relationship or not—he was going to make Scarlett his wife.
  • He was putting on his Rolex wristwatch when his phone started ringing and he checked the caller ID to see it was Julian. He frowned.
  • "Why is he calling me?" He thought. He didn't know why but he had always disliked his cousin. Maybe because of his fake smile and friendly attitude.
  • He answered the call, anyway.
  • "Yes, what is it?"
  • "Good afternoon to you too, Christian." Julian replied, sarcastically.
  • "And what is good about this afternoon?" Christian scoffed, trying not to get fooled by Juliana's friendly tone.
  • "I heard about what your father did to your credit cards. Uncle shouldn't have done that but I need you to understand that he did what he did for your own good. You can't keep living your life like a nuisance. You are the talk of the whole city because of your lifestyle."
  • "Did you call me to show me pity or insult me? Because I get the feeling that you are doing both."
  • Christian wasn't going to fall for any of Julian's stupid games. He wasn't sure what games Julian could be playing but he felt the guy had something devious up his sleeves. He was after the White Empire.
  • "I am doing neither of both, cousin. I am just advising you to stop dirtying your father's name. Almost all the tabloids are talking about the heir of White Enterprise being a party freak and a loser. Please keep the way you party in check and…"
  • Christian didn't wait for him to finish his statement before ending the call.
  • He clenched his fists as he imagined the mocking smile on Julian's face after the insult.
  • Even if he tried not to feel bad about the insults and what people thought of him, he still felt bitter on the inside.
  • "I don't care. They should all go to hell." He said under his breath.
  • His phone rang again.
  • He answered, angry. "What the…"
  • "Babe," He heard Scarlett's voice.
  • Oh, she was the one calling.
  • "Hey," he smiled.
  • "Good afternoon, babe. I am about to take a taxi to your estate." Scarlett said.
  • "Okay. I will be waiting." Christian replied.
  • "Now, I'm worried." Scarlett said, sounding unhappy. "What if your father doesn't like me? I am not even sure I look presentable."
  • "Hey, baby girl, don't say that. I don't care if he doesn't like you. And I'm sure you will look pretty as always." Christian said to comfort her.
  • "I love you, Christian. You're the best. Anyway, bye." Scarlett said.
  • "I love you too, Scarlett. See you." Christian said and ended the call. He looked at himself in the mirror then left his room to meet his father in dining room.
  • ***
  • Matthew was sitting at the head's chair in dining room, pressing his phone, when Christian arrived.
  • "I thought you were never going to show your face in front of me again." Matthew said, his attention still on his phone.
  • "Well, father, you thought wrong." Christian replied while sitting on the chair next to his father, and took a sip from his water.
  • "That's Julian's spot." Matthew told him, referring to the chair Christian was sitting on.
  • Christian raised a brow. "Is Julian going to have lunch with us?"
  • "Unfortunately, no. He is representing me in a business meeting in Rome and he wouldn't be back until next month." Matthew said.
  • "Oh," Christian thought.
  • Then this just proved his thoughts about Julian. He called just to make fun of him.
  • "He has a lot of use unlike someone who does nothing but party and spends daddy's money." Matthew scoffed at how useless his son was.
