• I carefully listened from my hiding place in the closet. Every word Scarlett said made me think more deeply. When she talked to her brother Ryan about me, her voice was soft but full of doubt. I could tell from the way she spoke that she was interested and unsure. It made me smirk, knowing I had that effect on her.
