Chapter 8 Unbelievable Reaction

  • Unbelievable Reaction
  • Arius Accardo,
  • It’s been six months and Nicole still hasn’t been able to find Aria. I only need her to complete the blood oath between our Padres but I still consider her as my friend. Protecting her is my duty. I am trying my every effort to find her but still I couldn’t find her, don’t know where Zia (aunt) Lauren took her and where they are living? The only fine thing that happened in this period was that Salvatore also couldn’t find her, but I think I need to give him a reason to distract Aria. This can be the way to save her.
  • I got up from my office chair and walked up to the window of my penthouse, dropping the cigarette in my hand. I saw the old file of Elena’s basic information peeping out from the bookshelf beside the window. That thing made me wonder about that girl, so passionate and loyal to her work. She does almost all my work, and she does too, but never complained about that. She molded well around me but her outbreak of anger on me made me mad and the challenging look in her eye made me want to break all ties and made her realize what Arius Accardo is but I felt nice witnessing her anger which made me more mad at her. I left her to handle the rest of the meeting as I wasn’t able to continue further after hearing her raced heart beats and those honey brown eyes. The most interesting thing was that she wasn’t uncomfortable this time, but her hands were perfectly relaxed after a moment. I think she is getting inclined towards me, unknowingly because when I freed her, her eyes flashed a hint of respect at me.
  • When I opened the door of my office, I saw Nicole waiting for me on the couch. As I entered, he flashed his cheeky smile at me. Hell, why does he smile so much at everyone? He is the right man for me but this didn’t fade his smile a bit, maybe because he is also my only friend. I shook my head in disbelief and went towards the desk.
  • “How was your meeting, bro?” he asked, while approaching the chair in front of me. He had a mischievous tone and shine in his eyes. Just hope his drama will end soon.
  • “Like meeting.” I replied to him in my usual haughty tone. He burst into laughter after hearing the answer. He started swinging in his chair with a sweet smile.
  • “When you came here?”I questioned him while taking the file from the corner of the desk.
  • “Just after, when I saw you making out with a girl in the corridor.” He confessed boldly. He saw me and Elena together. Now, he is going to drag this thing.
  • “So what?” my reply made him stop his swinging, and he flashed his smirk at me.
  • “Nothing, I am surprised that you haven’t slept with her yet.” I rolled my eyes at him. Yet. We will see it later. She is attracted to me, but the most interesting thing is that she didn’t even know this. Better for me. I know I have lusted after her from the day my eyes landed on her, but I couldn’t see it in her eyes. I couldn’t see any lust in mine too whenever her eyes reflected me in them. Something is wrong there.
  • “Why you come here? What’s happening with shipments?” I diverted his attention from me and Elena to work. As I very well know, it will always work.
  • “On the point bro, I have found out a very interesting piece of info but forgot after watching you with her.” he replied in his best apologizing tone. Bastard, even shouting it. We can’t do anything with him. He sat in an attentive position in his chair.
  • “You know? Why are we failing to find Aria?” hearing out comes out from his mouth, made me go stiff and immensely angry that if this about her then why the fuck his mouth was shut about it. I stood up from my chair. He too gets up as he sees my changes on face.
  • “I know, I know. I should have told you this before.” He pleaded with me. I turned away from him and told him to continue with my hand. I heard his loud sigh of relief.
  • “You’re Padre.” He muttered in a low tone. His confession made me turn at him in disbelief. Why would he do that? This is the thing he wants me to do, wholeheartedly. There is something I need to know about it. Nicole just nodded at me, confirming that he wasn’t talking nonsense.
  • “Uncle helped Zia Lauren to hide and erase every trace of her. Now, finding her is your test to become boss of the Italian mafia.” That’s why we were failing to find her. I know that this entire thing is done by Padre, then it is nearly impossible to find her. I even need to think about Salvatore. This news is out means he is too trying to find her out and won’t be stopping until he finds her, making her life always be in danger.
  • “Stop trying to find her. If Padre did this, then we will not find her this way.” I ordered him. He nodded at me in confusion.
  • “What about Salvatore?” he questioned me. I took a seat in my chair again.
  • “We just need to distract him.” I completed and just after that I heard a knock on the door. It must be Elena. The door of the office opened after my permission. She entered the office, looking at the file in her hand as usual. Sometimes, I even saw her walking here and there while reading files. She stopped in her pace when she saw Nicole in the office. She looked confused but dumb ass Nicole approached her with his smile like before and complemented her. Good, he didn’t know that she didn’t know Italian. But the courage of this half brain that he again called her beautiful in English.
  • I was so surprised that she blushed when that bastard kissed her hand. I turned my head from her; I was so fuming that I could have killed anyone right here, but I was suppressing my anger. I don’t even know for what reason I was so angry? She blushed at him or he kissed her hand or both? Whatever the reason is, it didn’t matter. I ordered her to leave the office right then.
  • Even after she left, Nicole was only speaking about her. She this, she that and what not. We both left the office and went to the penthouse to get fresh. I needed a break from all this drama, so; I decided to go to my club to chill out for a few hours. Nicole informed the club, and they reduced the crowd as they hated being surrounded by people. And I also needed to find out the way out of Salvatore’s trap. I know him very well; he will definitely try to take his revenge. I was about to enter my club but had to stop as I saw an almost drunk Elena standing there blocking the entire way, widening her eyes combined with a slightly open mouth. She was wearing a short black dress which was up to her mid-thigh with only one shoulder. She was looking so appealing in black. I never thought that black could look this beautiful on someone. I waited for a few moments to let her move, but she didn’t move. One of my men forwarded it to move her away from my way, but I stopped him in between showing my hand and he backed off.
  • “Elena, what are you doing here?” as I asked her, her trance broke, and she blinked a few times before composing herself. It’s so clear that she had drunk a lot of drinks.
  • “I am here to welcome you, Mr. Accardo.” She answered while looking behind me while playing with the hem of her dress. Welcome to me? She could have found a better reason to lie. She couldn’t, even if she did, would have found out. She looked a little nervous.
  • “Alright, come with me.” I ordered her. She beamed with my words and followed me. I saw her showing thumbs up somewhere while taking a seat on the couch. I turned and saw a table where a couple was drinking and an ass friend of hers sleeping on the table. The man showing thumb to Elena. She nearly collapsed on the couch while seated. Who told her to drink this much. She was rotating her head in every possible direction with a frown on her face, and finally turned to me.
  • “Where is Nicole and why your friends aren’t taking seats?” she interrogated while leaning forwards at me. Why is she asking about him? His name from her mouth, making my anger rise as I remembered her blush from the office.
  • “You don’t need to know.” She made a face at me when I finished my words. I was about to laugh, witnessing her look.
  • “I just have to give you something then I will leave.” She nearly yelled while crossing her hands. Someone put a tray of tequila in front of me. I was surprised as she snatched the glass of shot from my hand and emptied it in one go. When she finished, she banged the glass on the floor.
