Chapter 7 Dare To New Possibilities

• What does he think of himself? To act like that in front of board members. I was so fuming that I lost all control over myself and accused him in full blown words. I wasn't aware of the fact that I was draining my anger on my boss with my full potential, until I felt his hand on my wrist while I was retreating in the conference room again to resume the meeting. I was taken aback when he jerked me towards him, crushing me on his rigid body. A small gasp left my mouth as my forehead bumped on his muscular chest. He pushed me with his tall frame and trapped me between the wall and himself. While he was pushing me, involuntarily I tried to push him but he caught my hands in swift motion and held them above my head with his tight and rough grip.
• I was so surprised by his act that I was left totally speechless. I tried to utter something but nothing came out of my mouth. I was just feeling his rugged breathing on my forehead. I looked upwards to witness his angered red face but his forest green eyes were shining with pure amusement and a hint of anger also. Don't be afraid, Elena; you are not wrong this time, face him courageously. He tightens his grip on my wrist with his narrowed eyes. When I didn't faze my failed attempt to scare me, he closed every distance between us. His lips were flashing a crooked half evil smile, showing something that I failed to understand in him.
• "What are you doing? Mr. Accardo."I dared to speak to him even in this condition. My eyes didn't show him any kind of fear but my voice gave him a hint of what he was searching for, a sign of uncertainty. His eyes shined in victory as he saw the hint of fear mixed with anger towards her. My tone was a little harsh but loud enough but his Shuuussss made me lose my voice completely.
• "Isn't that I should ask you?" he deflected my question with his to avoid answering mine. He was so close that I was practically inhaling his warm breaths. He didn't even flinch when he was breathing mine; he is too difficult to understand.
• "You can't just talk to board members like that; they are here to support your company, not to destroy." I whispered to him but still my voice showed my anger and dislike of his behavior in the meeting. Even though he is the CEO of the company and son of the chairman he didn't possess any rights to speak to elderly and trust worthy shareholders who keep their faith in us even in bad situations. Listening, my words, his body went even closer to mine like he was warning me for my words and wanting to apologize to him for that. My heart beats were ringing in my ear loudly as I finished my sentence.
• "I just did that, Elena." He just made me realize in his dead calm voice, which was too calm to be true from this man. Subconsciously, telling me to get prepared for its consequences in the near future. I gulped audibly as he put his forefinger on my chin as I was keeping my face straight avoiding his eyes who speaks so much more than his words ever spoken to me and made me look in his green globe trapping me in them without any restrictions.
• "You don't know how much power I possess but still your beautiful yet extremely expressive eyes knows how much darkness surrounds me. Refreshing, very refreshing." He was speaking with pride floating in his voice. Peeping in my brown ones, making me lose my every thought. He was drawing circles with his thumb on my wrist. He deliberately loosens his grip on them. I instantly pulled my hands down and was ready to push this uncivilized man far away from me but he rested both of his hands beside my head showing his disinterest in it.
• "Mr. Accardo, board members are waiting for us and let me speak this time." I requested him with my hesitant voice because I don't want him to burst on me. He just lifted his corner of mouth in reply without moving aside. Moron. I cussed internally as I got what he wanted from me.
• "Please." As this word left my mouth he moved aside giving me space to breathe comfortably in the air with my own pace and stood like he won the battle with full confidence radiating from him with his infamous smirk lingering in his lips. What he did next was just to make me drop my jaw in amusement. He just turned around left. Not for the conference hall but he headed towards his office. I get that I need to clear all situations for him. This man makes me angrier more than before.
• It was extremely hard for me to calm all shareholders. It took me nearly three hours to convince them and board members to continue him like this just for a few more months, as I know that he is a temporary CEO, who isn't even interested in the company but some other stuff which he always does while speaking in Italian. He took advantage of the fact that I don't understand Italian. Don't know why he came here if just going to totally ignore all things. I have completed my job and now I just have to report their decision to the devil and then I am free to go. Due to his unstoppable mouth, the meeting starched more than I could ever imagine. I had to skip my lunch because I was trapped in the mess created by him. I looked at my cell and saw a few missed calls from Theo. I immediately dialed his number. He picked up as the first ring rang.
• "Sorry sorry sorry." I apologized before he could say anything. I knew he was mad at me as I promised him to go with lunch. We both were always busy from the last few days. I heard his loud sign.
• "Where were you the whole time? You know how many times I tried to call you?" he sounded hurt. Of course he is hurt. He is like my family to me.
• "I was in the meeting. Trying to clear the mess created by him." he cussed loudly on the phone. He didn't like Mr. Accardo for some reasons. Technically, Theo never shared his feelings with me; he always acted rigid all the time.
• "How about, we all go tonight to a club, we haven't gone there for a few months. How does it sound to you?''He really enjoys partying so I knew his weakness.
• "Ok, you know how to pursue me." I heard his excited sound. He must be beaming and dancing internally. We talked for a while and then I hung up as I remembered that I even had to inform Mr. Scissor mouth. I took a file of our new project, as I need him to look at it for the final presentation also. The finalization of a new deal is on the way, we need to crack the deal to enter the market of France. I was everywhere but I couldn't find Liza anywhere, I ignored and knocked on the door of his office. Just hope that he wasn't in his secession with Liza. I entered his office as I heard his firm come in.
• "Mr. Acc-" I was stopped in my way as I saw a tall man standing in front of his desk. He turned towards me as he heard my voice. From his features he looked Italian like him. He looked at me and then him and turned again at me with a brightest and sweetest smile playing on his face. He looked so excited and came forward to me.
• "Nicole, piacere di conoscerti, bella signora. (It's nice to meet you young beautiful lady)" he said something while looking at me. I just understood Nicole then didn't know what he said, but according to his facial expression and tone I could tell that he said something nice. He also is holding the same vibrant smile while saying that.
• "hu?" that's only left my mouth. His beaming face frowned instantly as he understood that I couldn't understand his words but recovered in no time. He forwarded his hand to shake.
• "I am Nicole and you are beautiful." he complimented me. I took his hand and shook. Like Arius, his hand was also rough and there were a few small cuts also on his palm. A deep red blush covered my face as I heard his words.
• "Thank you. I am Elena Davis. Mr. Accardo's Executive and Assistant manager." I introduced myself. He didn't leave my hand but lifted and kissed my knuckles softly. I was surprised by his move but it was curt too, so I didn't offend at all.
• "I know." I flashed his grinning smile at me and turned to face Mr. Accardo. Who was observing us very keenly with narrowing his green eyes at us, leaning on his chair. He knows? What does he mean by that? Before I could ask him anything he turned towards him.
• "You didn't tell me that, she is this beautiful." He asked Mr. Accardo. Listening to him, he started glaring at him as he could just kill him with just his glare. I was surprised that he was talking to this uncivilized man informally as they have known each other for a long time. Nicole just ignored his glare as he is used to his behavior and turned to me.
• "Just ignore him, Elena. Come here, seat. I have a lot of things to ask you." He held my hand and dragged me to the couch and made me sit on it, taking a seat near me. I glanced at Mr. Accardo, he was fuming at us but still didn't open his trashy mouth.
• "How do you know me?" I questioned him as it was making me more curious about him.
• "I know everyone who is around him." He told me as he pointed his thumb at Mr. Accardo. He is also weird. I didn't reply to him or give any reaction to him. Just sat there. He laughed loudly as he saw that I didn't react a bit.
• "I mean, I am Arius's Best friend." Now, I get the thing, he chuckled in my direction as recognition flashed over me. Poor man has to handle him all the time.
• "Elena, if you have done. Keep the file on the table and leave." Mr. Accardo boomed from his desk. Don't know why he is so furious about it? Well, he didn't need any reason to get angry. It's too common for him. His face was so rigid at that time and just like always observing me keenly like I am a piece of puzzle for him. I stood up from the couch and put the file I brought with me on the coffee table which was located exactly in front of me. I turned to Nicole.
• "It's so nice to meet you Nicole, I hope I will see you often." He seems like a nice guy. Well, definitely better than him. He returned me his smile and got up and patted my shoulder.
• "Absolutely, you will see me more, Tesoro." I nodded my head and left the office. I am excited to go home because we all decided to chill some time. It's been so long that we haven't spent any time together. That meeting took a lot of time; all other employees had already left the building. I too got down from the parking lot and drove to my apartment. I had already messaged Patty, so she and her boyfriend are also going to join us.
• I still had time before I left for our usual club, so I decided to first eat something as I had to miss my lunch for cleaning the mess created by Mr. Scissor mouth. He became grumpier from the last few days and always looked impatient towards all things around him. Don't know what happened to him but there is something that is bothering him so much. He smokes too much lately. Sometimes I feel that he was born with a cigarette in his hand.
• I freshen up after my meal and get ready for our outing. I don't even remember when was the last time we all went together for having some fun. Well, it will be good distraction from Mr. Scissor mouth; he is becoming more out of control lately. The nerve of this man the way he behaved with me outside of the conference room, for a moment I felt that he was going to kiss me but he just proved that he is not a man who loses control over anything.
• I parked my car and stood in line at the club waiting for the rest of my friends, scrolling through the mail from the office. I found out that the opposite party agreed for a meeting the next day. I think there will be so much work to do if this deal gets cracked. Within a few minutes, I saw Patty and her boyfriend come waving at me.
• "heyyyy, I missed you so much, El." Patty cheered from a long way as she got down from Tom's car. She ran towards me opening her arms and hugged me tightly; he and Tom went on a week-long vacation to LA.
• "Shut up, you hardly called me three time during your pre marital honeymoon." I teased her, making her go whole red. She playfully hit me and started searching for something with her lines on forehead to pop up.
• "Where is Theo?" I questioned myself, oh now I get it. Tom parked his car and approached us with a smile. He too gave me a friendly hug.
• "How are you dear?" Tom asked while resting his hand on Patty's shoulder.
• "Better than yesterday." I laughed at my excitement level.
• "I couldn't see Theo here." I smirked at him as he too asked the same Patty asked me before.
• "He will come, Lets go inside first." I told them and they nodded at me in unison. We entered the club. It wasn't that crowded. It was strange because it's a very famous club and people really enjoy coming here. I ignored and we took our seats. Loud music was buzzing, people were dancing on stage crazily. Few drunkards were arguing with people. We gave our orders of drinks. I am really a heavy drinker when it comes to alcohol. I don't drink regularly but whenever I drink it always gets out of hand and today is the day I am going to let out all my accumulated frustration. Bartender gave us a tray of shots. I was about to take my first shot, and someone patted my shoulder. I turned and it was Theo.
• "Started without me?" He asked while taking a seat beside me and took a shot from my hand. I was surprised by his act but he is Theo, no one can predict him.
• "Where were you?" I interrogated him. He ignored and shrugged his shoulders. We all were talking and drinking a lot. Especially me. We talked about their vacation, the places where they went. I was bitching about my boss. They also enjoy it a lot.
• "Guys, let's play a game." Tom announced while putting his drink down. Well, I would like to. Everyone nodded at him.
• "But what?" Patty asked, finishing her shot.
• "Kissing a stranger." What did he say? I was perplexed by him. Not only me but everyone. We were quaking at him strangely.
• "On the cheek." He completed his sentence while laughing as he saw our reactions. Patty hit him hard.
• "All right, it will be fun." Theo encouraged him for this game. He never does such things but nowadays he is acting strangely.
• "If someone fails, he or she has to answer any one's intimate questions or take a decision on his/ her behalf. Ok?" Theo excitedly added the bet. Why is he acting like this? Let's see what happens when it comes to him.
• "First you, Theo." I declared, Tom and Patty started cheering for him. He smirked at me.
• "But, not anyone from the bar, the first person who enters the club." I told him with my smile. His face showed nervousness but he nodded. We all turned towards the door of the club. For a few seconds no one came but after that a tall, blonde man entered making us drop our jaw, we turned to Theo in curiosity. He was breathing. He is not going to kiss that man.
• "ok? You are not going to kiss him, so you have to date a" he stood up from his seat. Is he going to kiss that man? He started walking towards him.
• "God, he is crazy." Patty exclaimed looking at him. He went near him. That man too looked at him up and down. He bent down in his ear and said something. That man nodded at him and Theo kissed his cheeks and showed his thumbs up to us. Theo came and took a seat again.
• "what did you tell him?" Tom asked while bending forward. I want to know too.
• "just told him the truth." He spoiled everyone's mood. We all rolled our eyes at him and made him drink a few shots in one go as punishment. We made sure that he will definitely get a bad hangover tomorrow. He was drunk, at this point.
• "Now, it's your time El." God, just hope however he/she is not doing get offended at me.
• "ok. Now, see me." I got up from my seat and approached the door. We are used to playing but this was a high stack this time. We normally played drinking games but kiss was the first time we were involved in the game. I have decided, I am just going to kiss whoever it was and run away from there. It's the right strategy according to me. I was waiting at the door for someone to enter but no one was entering. Good for me. I turned as no one entered. I was about to go but I heard heavy footsteps and I turned. My eyes went wide as I saw Mr. Accardo in front of me standing in his leather jacket and jeans. He is looking smoking hot- , shut up El. He is your boss. I just froze in front of him, stopping him from entering the club as I was blocking the entrance.
