Chapter 8 The Alpha's Claim
- The silver bullet tore through the air, but the black wolf moved with impossibly fluid reflex. The round grazed Dominic’s massive shoulder, singing a line of crimson into his midnight fur. He let out a savage, enraged roar that rattled the windows, and with one heavy swipe of his massive, clawed paw, he crushed the mercenary’s chest, sending the man crashing lifelessly into the marble pillar.
- Sienna gripped the iron railing of the upper landing, her knuckles turning white as she watched the final remnants of the Romano strike force fall. The foyer was a gruesome scene of shattered marble, spent bullet casings, and blood.
- The other wolves of the Crescent Pack began to shift back, their skeletal structures cracking as they took on human forms. They were bleeding, but their eyes remained fixed on their Alpha, waiting for his command.
