• “How did all of this happen?” she whispered, reaching for Emily’s hand and holding on tight.
• “You want me to explain the birds and the bees to ya, kid?” Damon teased, tension still in his voice as he tried to lighten the mood a little. He glared at Justin before finally accepting that there were more important things than Justin’s petty behavior. He was determined to figure out what the bastard was up to but, in the meantime… “Truce?”
• Justin nodded shortly, accepting the offer.
