Chapter 435 Billionaire's Lies
- Jenny walked the burned streets, her gait heavy and thick, every step reminding her of the broken heart she bore. The world outside was at arm's reach, a haze, as though all that she loved and cared for now became the background hum that no longer carried a message for her. It was like the world kept moving on, but she was stuck in a photograph where time was static.
- The sound of her heels ringing on the ground echoed throughout the empty streets, her eyes filled with the fresh tears which continued to flow even as she tried to hold them back. She needed to get out, out of the house, out of the fragments of JM, out of everything that reminded her of the pain that she had suffered.
- She wasn't sure where she was going initially, but when night wind swept around her skin, a reddish light of a rowdy-appearing bar a block distant caught her attention. It wasn't one that she would ever visit normally, but at the moment, she cared little. It was some seedy establishment. Some place no one would know her. Some place they would not question.
