Chapter 3 Shouldn't Have Come Back

  • •~ Eyra ~•
  • …Sometimes, emotions slip out of our grasp like sand and before we could close the fist to gain what’s lost it’s too late…
  • Each time my eyes paired with his, the unknown dread rushed in my veins, causing an interruption which showed me the upcoming mayhem clearly.
  • ‘Fuck, fuck, fuck, I am so dead. Why did I come back?’ I thought worriedly, rubbing my freezing hands together in distress.
  • I could feel his intense stare at me. Stirring my mind in the fiery fire of anguish. The way he was looking at me was enough to frighten me.
  • “Are you done, you lazy woman?” He called mockingly from behind.
  • Burning in those bottomless pits of despair and I know, he won't breathe properly until he makes me pay.
  • “Yes, Sir.” Breathing out, I didn’t dare to turn.
  • I heard him scoffing and going to his room.
  • “Huff..” I sighed in relief when he left, allowing me to breathe properly.
  • I was in the main hall, going through the schedule of Madam Esmeralda.
  • “Make sure the eggs are runny and where is her coffee?”
  • “Right here.”
  • “Good.”
  • It was fine until the point his vehement gaze met mine before leaving for work and I could feel it under my bones.
  • “Go. She is waiting for you.” He hissed, only to scare me and left for work thankfully. I couldn’t help but to feel frozen whenever he was here.
  • The words he spoke three years ago; now is the time to comply with them.
  • He will show me my worst nightmare.
  • The breakfast was served and he left too thankfully so I went to call Madam. I knocked three times before entering.
  • "Madam." I called her.
  • "Oh, Eyra." Her tender tone came, smiling faintly at me through her reflection. Setting the color of her white shirt with a pencil skirt.
  • "This breakfast has been served." I told her, not raising my head.
  • She was setting her diamond necklace around her neck. Madam Esmeralda was an alternative for an angel, blessed with incomparable grace and charm, the beauty of dream.
  • I am glad he has a woman like her in his life or else entering would be difficult for me.
  • Humming, she turned to me.
  • "Eyra…" She trailed off, taking a step closer, scrutinizing my form.
  • "Yes, Madam?" I asked, not lifting my gaze.
  • "Make sure to follow your instructions thoroughly." She reminded me of the hell I chose myself.
  • Giving her a slow nod, I resisted the urge of freeing myself from him and moved back, bracing myself for upcoming upheavals.
  • I won’t give up in the beginning.
  • The rest of the day went monotonous, I explored the mansion to get familiar with the architecture and did things which were scheduled.
  • Nothing happened but a strange fright was embedded in my core, weighing more than I could bear. Breaking my tranquility as I spend each moment in fear he might not come.
  • “Am I making the right choice? What should I do?” I whispered to myself, pacing around the hall, holding my sides in tension.
  • And in the evening, he came.
  • My heart began to thump loudly as I tried to divert my mind and avoid him but all my efforts were meaningless before him.
  • “What?” He called dominantly, stopping before me, his large form towered, continuing.
  • “Are you mute that you can’t greet your Madam’s husband like everyone else?” He taunted, narrowing his eyes at me. And one look was enough to ignite restlessness in me.
  • “G-Good evening, Sir.” Whispering worriedly, I moved back quickly.
  • ‘How can you frighten me with one eye contact?’
  • “Hmph.”
  • After dinner, I came to their room to give Madam her glass of milk with her sleeping pill before sleeping. Entering my eyes tried their best to avert his wrathful gaze fixed upon mine.
  • “Madam’s pill and milk.” I whispered as I put the glass on the table, she was in the bathroom. I couldn’t bear myself alone in a room with him.
  • I was about to leave but his assertive voice came, “Stop.”
  • My back faced him and I didn’t have strength to show my frantic face to him. I sensed he rose from his seat and I quickly backed away.
  • Madam also came out at that time. He walked past me, taking out his phone from the charging point.
  • I resented the amusement lingering on his face to tease my sensitive nerves as I let out the sigh stuck in my throat.
  • He would make me pay slowly.
  • “What happened, Eyra?” Madam asked, taking the glass.
  • “Nothing, Madam.” I replied, moving back to the corner.
  • “Do you even think this easily startled girl could work properly?” He mocked.
  • My eyes fixate on the ground, swallowing hard to stay in my posture and not take his words to my heart.
  • “She will learn. It’s alright. You look scary, she must be intimidated by you.” She smiled faintly at me, trying to assure me but my mind was somewhere else.
  • “Really?” He smirked, closing the gap with her.
  • “Yes, Sir.” She winked, holding his shirt, pressing her chest against his.
  • Unable to see them together, I quickly left the room awkwardly.
  • After a while, She took her sleeping pills and went to sleep.
  • After she went to sleep, I was done for today. I could finally leave for my room and earn a reprieve from his eyes following me, warning me from time to time.
  • It was unforeseen that he didn’t initiate anything ‘yet’. He must be dying to punish me.
  • I was leaving for my room, relieved he gave me a moment of serenity but how wrong I was.
  • The second I was alone in the corridor, a large hand grabbed my wrist and pinned me harshly against the wall.
  • “Wha-”
  • Jerking up at the moment, my body reacted to the familiar scent instantly with a sharp exhale as he made his first move by inducing irremovable intimidation.
  • “Shh.”
  • “Mhm!”
  • I tried to scream but his hand covered my mouth. I struggled but he pressed his body against mine. Sending unnerving shivers to my core.
  • The sensation of his body against mine drained my energy, incapable of grasping, tears brimming in my eyes. Flinching at the proximity, his hot body impaling my bone.
  • I felt numb when he pressed me against the wall.
  • “Well, well, where do you think you are going, hmm?” His low, dangerous yet tempting tone came out. My eyes met his blazing ones.
  • His one hand covered my mouth, my rough breaths, blurred vision of agony was pleasurable for him. He loved my desperation.
  • “Oh? Is it hard to breathe?” He mocked, chuckling dryly at me.
  • How powerless I was, losing my vision at the lack of oxygen. I tried to move but he didn't let me. Goosebumps formed over my skin when his hot breath lingered over my face, releasing a scowl.
  • “That is exactly how I feel when I see you.” He growled.
  • A tear of defeat rolled down, palpitating, my heartbeats pounded hard on the verge of bursting. His body over mine was revolting but I don't have enough strength to push him away.
  • "I told you…" He hissed.
  • Eyes traveling over my body and stopping at my watery eyelids filling with terror. My body was weakening by each passing second at his harsh grip.
  • “I warned you.” Repeating, I was crushed like an ant under the ambience of his presence. Shutting my eyes, hoping to inhale some air.
  • Noticing my condition, he gradually granted me some breaths.
  • “Ah!”
  • Gasping loudly when he removed his hand. His one hand held my back in an iron grip while the other locked his fingers with my hairs.
  • “What? Breathless already?” He mocked.
  • Shivering violently, my lungs begged for air but he restricted any sign of equanimity. Pernicious presence will engrave irremovable horrors, more intense than I anticipated.
  • "Please let me go.. Please.." I whispered.
  • On the verge of crying. Shaking my head in denial of the strain but he only snuggled to my neck, exhaling when gripping my hairs tightly.
  • “Let me go…” My breath hitched, shuddering endlessly by apprehension.
  • His menacing presence crushed me when he began to say after a prolonged deadly silence.
  • "You shouldn't have come back." He whispered, hand moving upward, sending chills up to my spine.
  • Pressing his body against mine more, making me tremble with a mixture of his hot body and the cold wall. I tried to suppress the sensation but couldn’t.
  • “Y-You are married, stop it. Please.” Utterly frightened to apprehend, I could only beg for mercy.
  • “So?”
  • But, the vengeance won't let him melt this easily, not until he would shatter me beyond repair.
  • "Please… I am sorry." I sobbed, my frantic form was enclasped in his eyes and fire with no escape. My words infuriated him but these mere words mean nothing now.
  • "Your sorry can't fix anything!" He whisper-yelled.
  • Slamming his hand on the wall, startling me in the ultimate dream to think about the consequences of entering his life again.
  • He will never forgive me.
  • He won't breathe properly until he makes me pay.
  • He won't let me go this time.
  • Amid my desperation and uneven breaths, it was hard to comprehend. The menace of his presence stuck in my voice, words were present but I held the inability to release them.
  • His one look shattered me, his fire crumbled me.
  • "Now, you will pay for your every deed."
  • With a determined look, he bore his eyes into mine while speaking those zealous words that would haunt me for the rest of my life.
  • "You have chosen this punishment yourself, Eyra."
  • With this, he pushed me away and left me alone to tense over my upcoming troubles. When he warned me, I knew instantly that I had chosen hell.
  • Over money, over my Father’s treatment, I had chosen pain…
  • After the terror-inducing encounter with Aayan I pressed myself against the wall for support.
  • I was sure he would break every limit to teach me a lesson. All because I have entered his life once again.
  • “Please… forgive me.” I whispered heavily as he disappeared from my sight, releasing a tear.
  • I knocked on his door as an invitation to torments and he will not miss this chance.
  • He was going to break me.
  • Running to my room, I closed the door, panting to get some access to my senses. To not fall into the darkness which I knew I had.
  • “Shit. Shit. Shit!”
  • A tear pricked in my eyes to find the eyes of affection holding such detest I could never fathom in them. They had so many dreams, such shine in them.
  • And I killed it.
  • I should have known.
  • “How could I do it? What have I done?” Asking myself, I fell on my knees, hiding my face in them. It was no use crying over spilt milk.
  • “I shouldn’t have done it.”
  • And moreover, coming back was my madness. It was my foolishness. It’s the affliction I brought upon myself.
  • This was my fault.
  • It was the moment I realized- I lost everything.
  • I lost the nights considered home, I had completely lost him. The sky called servance of his temple of love; all shattered by his one action of hate.
  • The love in his gaze… was no more...
