Chapter 2 New Worker

  • …She was the extent of his love, madness and revenge...
  • •~ Aayan ~•
  • ‘That's right, fear me.’
  • My hazel gaze fixed on the petite woman before me. I was aware of the fear living in those amber eyes dedicated to her work. Trying to work and ignore me. But, she couldn’t do it.
  • She was so scared… Perfect.
  • “Hey, you, new worker,” I called dominantly.
  • I ran my hand in my thick raven hairs, making them messy while opening the first two buttons of my shirt.
  • Her body almost stopped when I called, unable to hide her fright, the amber-eyed woman slowly turned to me.
  • “Y-Yes, Sir?”
  • My lips curled from one side wickedly. I was ready to inflict the punishment. Resting my one leg over the other to assert my power.
  • “Esmeralda has hired you as her personal attendant. You better do your job properly. One complaint and you are done. Then show your money drama to someone else. Is that understood?” I warned her strictly, narrowing my eyes at her.
  • ‘Hmm, how should I punish in a painful manner so she could embed the fiery fire in her core?’
  • “Yes, Sir, I understand.”
  • Nodding, she gulped hard, tugging a strand of her brown hair behind her ear.
  • “Hmm. Back to work.” I scoffed, motioning to her to leave. Noticing how my mere presence sank her in frights was extremely pleasurable.
  • “Yes..”
  • Trying to finish her work so she could escape my predatory gaze fixed on her petite form. Tugging hairs behind her ears to soothe her nervousness.
  • But, she was caged in my eyes now- there was no liberation for her.
  • Too late.
  • I thought angrily, rising from my seat and walking toward the sweet attendant of my wife.
  • “What are you doing?” I asked huskily, standing behind her. Her body quivered, hoping to be engrossed in work to prevent the silent chaos.
  • Taking long gulps by my steady steps, she tried to create distance but to no avail, “I am changing the flowers as per M-Madam’s orders.” She stammered.
  • “Flowers, huh?”
  • I stood in front of her. With a heavy breath, her fragmented orbs bore into mine. My jaw clenched.
  • Each time I look into her eyes, a fire burns in my core to make her pay for each pain etch in my core.
  • Shivering only with an assertive gaze, she took a step back. "D-Do you... n-need something, Sir?" She asked hesitantly.
  • Clutching the clipboard close to her chest. She was terrified just by my presence- she should be. She knew I would do the worst to her.
  • Sparing a glance, I scoffed and walked away. I won’t get to work this easily. I would make her suffer first.
  • I will do it slowly…
  • ‘You better start your countdown because I have begun my hunt.’
  • I thought bitterly and walked away, granting her a few moments of reprieve.
  • “Hmph. Damn woman.” I muttered under my breath.
  • Walking away, I climbed the stairs and went to my room as an instant smile came to my lips when I saw my beautiful wife still sleeping.
  • Being a light sleeper, for peaceful sleep, she takes pills and her deep slumber would work in my favor now.
  • "Babe, wake up." I called her softly, running my hand in her hair. Groaning, she yanked my hand which made me chuckle.
  • "At least bid me goodbye." I whispered in her ears. Opening her eyes, she turned to me.
  • "Where are you going?" She asked, yawning, sitting up.
  • It has been six months since our marriage, it might happen to strengthen our business but I have devoted my heart to her.
  • At least this way she shall know or else we all know what lies ahead and she is bound with me forever so better show some dedication.
  • Esmeralda's appealing emerald eyes met mine, smiling back faintly, "I am leaving for work. Where else?" I asked sweetly, sitting beside her. Taking her hand in mine.
  • "Um, Babe." I took a pause, wondering whether I should speak my next words or not.
  • “Hmm?” Humming, she motioned me to continue.
  • "Are you sure about your personal attendant? Doesn’t look the best." I asked hesitantly.
  • "Yeah, I trust her." She shrugged.
  • "She doesn't seem trustworthy to me." I told her, trying to find a reason so she could fire her. I couldn’t bear watching her walk around MY house.
  • "Oh, you are being paranoid. I will handle it if something happens, you don't worry about it." Giggling, she pinched my cheek.
  • Faking a chuckle, I got up. Curling my hands in a fist to stay in my composure and not display my wrath.
  • ‘You don't know this witch.’
  • I mentally scowled and walked out, leaving for my work not before giving her a goodbye kiss.
  • On my way, I remembered the day I warned her to not cross her path with mine or else It would bring nothing but her devastation and seemingly; she chose devastation.
  • Leaning back, I looked out, holding an assertive look on my face, thinking-
  • You shouldn’t have taken me this lightly, Eyra. When I warned you then why did you return?
  • ***
  • We were in the main hall of her place. Mr. Falak's tense form didn't meet my gaze, looking down while waiting anxiously for her.
  • I was sitting right in front of him, with one leg over the other. A seething stare with two men behind me to show my superiority, scaring her father.
  • My jaw clenched. Barely controlling my incomprehensible wrath and the anguish received by her.
  • Tapping my fingers on my knee, I rest my elbow on the armrest, the thick tension dispersed in the air, knowing this affliction is fatal.
  • "S-Sir…" Mr Falak called me after a prolonged silence.
  • "I-it's been two years now, Sir. P-please forgive her." He took a pause but before he could continue, I did.
  • "Don't be facile about what happened, Mr Falak. If you think I would let it slide then you are wrong. Your daughter has seriously asked for trouble. She forced me to do this." I told him dominantly, pointing my finger at him to not piss me off.
  • With my reply, another silence came. A call of danger mixed in the air. And amid this tense atmosphere, the one whose presence increased my anguish entered.
  • "You called me, Papa-"
  • The fucking audacity to look innocent and nonchalant after what she did…
  • Words faded in between when her eyes fell upon mine and the ghastly emotion was extremely tempting. Now, she was afraid of me.
  • “Well, well…”
  • The fright distraught her. Trying to understand the situation where I was right in front of her and she was sinking in the oceans of fear.
  • She knew there was no escape.
  • Concealing my disgust, I smirked calling her name, "Long time no see, Eyra."
  • “Y-You?”
  • Her breath hitched, palpitating with dread of the darkness lurking in my eyes. She knew she fucked up.
  • “Looking shamelessly unbothered. Expected from a woman like you.” I snickered as the rage I concealed began to emerge from my aura.
  • Anger swirled inside me when I saw her. All the pain rushed in.
  • Rising from my seat, I walked to her. She continued to tremble, flickering from anticipation. She instinctively took a step back by the lack of distance between us.
  • “What happened? Why are you taking a step back now? I thought you wanted me… physically.”
  • I smirked darkly. She was shaking before me, making an almost crying face and for the first time, her terror pleased me.
  • I loved how a tear was brought to her eyes, wanting to beg for forgiveness with her quivering lips but to no avail.
  • "Please, L-Listen-"
  • When my name rolled over her lips, still giving the same sensations I hate, I abruptly pulled her to me. Caging her in my body with my one muscular hand, holding her back.
  • “Shh.” And I placed my other hand under my chin to press my thumb over her lips.
  • Gasping as she pressed her palm against my chest. Rushing the terror to her soul, searching for liberation from my grasp and I had no intention of letting her go.
  • “Not a word. I am done with your acting. It won’t work on me anymore.” I whispered temptingly, moving my thumb across her shaky lips.
  • She was entrapped.
  • One hand holding her back. I shifted my hand and took a strand of her hair and stroked it. Still not removing my fatal eyes from hers.
  • I wanted her to see, to never forget the hatred and wrath in my eyes.
  • “Aayan-” She whispered and I didn’t let her.
  • "It's not Aayan for you anymore, Sweetheart." I began to say seductively, closing the gap between, whispering in her ears.
  • "It's Sir." I scowled, sending endless shivers to her core.
  • "P-Please…" She whimpered, clutching my shirt tightly, trying to gasp for air under the ambience of my presence.
  • "Your words were so frivolous but I considered them everything… I thought you were sincere, I feel stupid to have any connection with a woman like you." I continued, pressing my body against her to sense the startle. I wanted to feel her fright, I wanted to carve it into my soul.
  • "I-I am sorry…" My grip tightened.
  • “Shut the fuck up.”
  • Glaring at her to shut up because I was not falling for her trap anymore and one wrong sentence could lead her to her worst nightmare.
  • “Please, forgive me. I-I didn’t mean to…”
  • Panting, a tear rolled down her cheek in despair. I nuzzled her neck, inhaling her scent.
  • “Hmm, what?”
  • Almost brushing my lips against her neck, engraving how terrified she is to the extent of crying.
  • "S-Sir... Please…."
  • She broke into a sob, lowering her head in contrite but each tear enhanced my wrath. Stop that damn drama. I knew it was fake.
  • Holding the urge of vengeance, I exhaled, enclasping her body between my arms.
  • “Please let my daughter go.”
  • “Shut up, old man. Don’t provoke me. I have done nothing.” I growled at his father, stopping him instantly before turning my attention back to her.
  • “Yet.” Smirking, I licked my lips, scanning her frightened form.
  • “Please, let us go. I swear, I won’t enter your life again.”
  • Her tears drenched my shirt as a reminder she cried at my chest for her unforgivable deed.
  • I moved to her ears and whispered, "Don’t worry, I am not the one who holds grudges, that's why…" Trailing off and placing an unearned kiss over her neck.
  • "Don't you fucking dare to show me your face again-"
  • A scowl appeared in my face, narrowing my eyes in fury for the misery she gave me. I truly wanted to show her the worst but stopped myself… for now.
  • "Or else.. You will suffer your worst nightmare."
  • Pulling away, I was dangerously close to her face, hissing the words she should have taken as my last threat but she didn’t.
  • And now she’d pay for not listening to me.
