• I couldn't believe my eyes. Had Xavier actually just slapped the man? Wasn't that going to reflect badly on him in public? Like how he loses his temper at everything? I felt bad knowing that I was the cause of the new Xavier who was now acting like a commoner with no class.
• "What do you say to that?" Xavier asked Duncan who held the cheek. With the way his eyes were red, I could tell that he was just trying his possible best not to show how much it hurts. "Take your hands away, let me see," Xavier ordered him.
• Like a robot on remote control, Duncan took his hand away from the cheek. I could see the four imprints of Xavier's finger boldly revealing itselves. I was still gloating inwardly about the sweet revenge when Xavier held my cheek and examined it. He compared it to Duncan's own by looking back and forth between the two of us.
