Chapter 28

• "Xavier, what is this I hear about you bringing a woman here?" Zach asked Xavier as we all sat at the dining table awaiting dinner.
• Immediately Zach asked, Xavier's eyes drifted to me, but I acted like I didn't know he was staring at me. I had reported him to Zach when he returned home with Brenda. When I eventually looked at him, he glared at me, as if asking me what I had done.
• "Xavier, I am speaking to you," Zach said again, his arms folded, his eyes fixed on Xavier.
