Chapter 8 Anxiety
- RILEY'S POV
- Fear sat heavy in my chest before I even knew why. It started as a shadow that followed me everywhere—the quiet dread of something I couldn’t name. Every morning, I woke up with my heart already racing. Every night, I lay awake, afraid of what tomorrow might bring.
- The aftermath of my night of sin. It made me wonder if it was worth it, if the sum was worth my conscience pricking, haunting me, following me like a bad smell everywhere but surely my father's life, is worth it over and over again and if I was forced to make the decision again, I'd still choose him.
