Chapter 3
- Ruth's Point Of View
- Now I understood why Lunette had been so agitated; this man was my destined mate, and I couldn’t resist him.
- My hands wrapped around his neck, and my body pressed tightly against his.
- He pulled back slightly, looking into my eyes as if trying to read something in them. My chest rose and fell rapidly as I gasped for breath. I knew exactly what I wanted.
- My hands roamed up his abdomen, the thin shirt doing little to block the warmth of his body, and his defined abs only fueled my desire.
- I grabbed his collar and pulled him closer. He didn't resist. Instead, he pushed me back against the railing, his body practically enclosing mine.
- Passionate kisses rained down on me, my mind completely leaving my body, leaving only instinct and desire driving me towards him.
- His hands moved across my body. Every touch was like an electric shock, making me feel dizzy with excitement. I forgot everything about the man I had just met for the first time, and didn't even know his name.
- His lower body pressed against mine, and I could feel his arousal. Even though I was still a virgin, I knew exactly what that bulge against my lower body was.
- As his hand slipped under my skirt, I finally realized what was about to happen next. With the last bit of rationality, I grabbed his hand.
- The man breathed heavily, frowning slightly at me, and I could feel him trying to restrain his desire.
- "I don't want to do this here," I said shyly.
- Even though my body longed for him, this was my first time, and it was nothing like I had imagined.
- The man took a deep breath, looking at me with a puzzled expression. I felt my face burning, but I didn’t care anymore. I took his hand, looked up at him, and said, "Follow me."
- I led him quietly down the stairs, slipping out of the party through a side door.
- Everyone was still busy enjoying the ball, and we made our way to an empty guest room without any trouble. I pulled him inside and shut the door behind us.
- I turned around, but before I could say anything, he pushed me against the door. The silence and tension that had been building exploded all at once. He kissed me fiercely, roughly tugging at my clothes.
- I trembled, unsure if it was from excitement or fear.
- He grabbed my neck, forcing me to tilt my head up to accept his kisses. His heavy breathing made me weak, and I could only hang onto him helplessly.
- He chuckled softly, held my waist, and slowly guided us toward the bed. His movements practiced, and when he sat up to remove his own shirt, I suddenly realized I was nearly naked.
- "Baby, your reaction is as innocent as a virgin," he whispered, his hot body pressing close again, his lips brushing against my ear.
- I bit my lip, unsure how to respond. I knew what was going to happen next, but I was starting to feel scared.
- My silence made the man pause. He sat up, looking at me in disbelief, and asked, "Damn, you're not really a virgin, are you?"
- I turned my head, not knowing what to answer him. But he was supposed to be my destined mate. Didn't he feel the bond between us?
- Just as I was about to ask, he leaned down, gently kissing my forehead. "Don't be afraid, I'll be gentle."
- I looked at him, and his kisses didn’t stop. That dangerous scent surrounded me once again, causing me to close my eyes.
- ...
- When I woke up again, sunlight was already streaming into the room through the window.
- I was stunned to find myself lying naked in bed, and the events of last night were crystal clear in my mind.
- At that moment, the man beside me opened his eyes, his deep brown eyes meeting mine.
- I sat up abruptly, the memories of what had happened crashing down on me.
- I had met my fated mate last night, and the intense connection between us had led to us sleeping together, without even knowing who he was!
- Ruth, you must be out of your mind!
- My lips trembled, but no words came out.
- The man sat up and leaned closer to me, our bodies almost touching.
- His closeness reminded me of the passionate kisses from the night before, and my heart raced.
- He gently lifted my chin and looked into my eyes. "Who are you?"
- Why was he not reacting at all? Couldn’t he sense that I was his destined mate?
- I swallowed hard and opened my mouth. "I am..."
- He looked at me and said, "Whoever you are, we had a good time yesterday."
- Then he pushed me back onto the bed. I clutched the thin blanket to cover my body as he gripped it tightly.
- He got out of bed and bent down to pick up his scattered clothes.
- An ID card fell out. It was his ID card. The moment I saw his identity, my blood froze.
- The man in front of me, my destined mate, turned out to be the Alpha of the SilverMoon pack, Kaelus Moen!
- I finally understood why I didn't see him at the Alpha meeting yesterday. The SilverMoon pack and Frostscarred pack had always been enemies. Although Silas had invited him out of courtesy, no one had expected him to actually show up at the Blue Moon Ball.
- What scared me even more was that Kaelus was an extremely cruel man. It was said that he personally killed his first mate. I couldn't believe that the Moon Goddess would arrange such a terrible man to be my mate, and that I had been intimate with him last night.
- Silas would kill me if he found out!
- The man didn't notice my panic. He dressed calmly, then wiped the hand that had touched me with a towel. After that, he threw the towel on the floor and stepped on it carelessly with his shoes before walking out.
