Chapter 3 Meeting Alpha Alec[Ll]

  • [*Alec*]
  • I had watched her die. I had seen her life taken forcefully from her while I stood there and did nothing. My Julianne, my mate. The pain I felt now was unbearable. No one understood, they didn't understand what it feels like to loose one's mate. Even Lex my wolf had gone berserk in my head and since Julianne died I hadn't been able to shift, I hadn't even spoken to him in a while. I do not even know if he still there.
  • Hera and Leila thought I was overreacting, even Ryan my beta thought I had gone insane, but they didn't understand what it is especially for a Lycan of my kind — I am a white wolf, which is very rare, and every white wolf had a curse and that is, we are only entitled to one mate. There is nothing like a second chance mate for us. So when I lost Julianne, I lost my one shot at happily ever after and now stupidly enough, my mother and sister had to go and hire a caretaker for me.
  • My mother.. I do not understand why she keeps acting like she cares.
  • I heaved in a sigh as I ran my hands through my hair, they were right though.. I had to get back on my feet and start leading the pack again else they be vulnerable to rogues and vampire attacks. I stood up and made my way to the bathroom, only stopping short in my tracks when I saw myself in the mirror. Who the hell is this staring at me through the mirror!
  • 'Of course it's you' I paused, on hearing Lex's voice in my head.
  • 'Lex? You came back?'
  • He scoffed at me. 'I wasn't gonna go into hiding for the rest of my life was I?'
  • 'Fuck you!' I scowled back at him. 'Are you ready to work now?'
  • 'I guess so, we have no choice otherwise do we?'
  • 'No we don't'
  • I do not have a choice, I have to get back to work and try to get over Julianne even though it won't be easy and it probably would hurt so bad, but I had to do it — For the pack, and Lex's and my sanity and for Julianne too — she wouldn't want to see me this sad.

  • "I came running immediately I got your message, you could have just mind linked me whatever you had to say, add the fact that you haven't even contacted me for the past three months." Ryan huffed as he collapsed on the couch in my office.
  • "I was mourning dick head, how is the pack?"
  • "They are at least doing okay, despite the fact that they've been neglected by their Alpha for a whole three months."
  • "Shut up" I muttered and reclined on my chair. "There are no threats?"
  • "No."
  • "And Elliott?"
  • "He has gone into hiding for the time being, we have no idea where he is or what he is up to."
  • Elliot was a dhampir, a very powerful one at that, and the most biggest threat to my pack. For some reason he hated us and had even killed some of my pack members. Though I wasn't still sure if he was the one that ordered Julianne's murder but I needed someone to blame and if it had to be anyone, it would be him. So now I am going to hunt him down, even if it means I had to search the whole universe before I find him.
  • "Okay, you can leave." I said to Ryan.
  • "What! Was that all you wanted to say and you had me come all the way here?"
  • "Goddess, Ryan you whine like a baby, just leave when I'm asking kindly"
  • "Your meal is ready, Alpha"
  • "Who the hell are you!" Ryan gasped, jumping out of his chair on seeing the human caretaker mother and Leila had hired for me. When did she even enter, and how did she know I was here?
  • "Good day sir, My name is Bellatrix and I am the Alpha's caretaker" she replied bowing her head slightly.
  • So her name is Bellatrix.
  • "Caretaker? Like a land caretaker or what?" Ryan asked looking from me to her.
  • "You should leave now, Ryan. I will see you at the training ground tomorrow." I hated using my Alpha's control tone on my family and friends, but situations like now called for it. "Leave Ryan. Now"
  • Ryan did not wait to be told twice, he bowed his head and left silently.
  • "Did I not tell you to stay away from me, lady?" I growled as Bellatrix stepped closer to drop the tray on the table.
  • Instead of answering my question, she only grinned at me as she dropped the tray. "You clean up fine, Alpha Alec." She remarked and walked back out as if she hadn't heard me speak.
  • What in the hell was that? How dare she speak to me in that manner!
  • 'Go after her.' Lex growled in my head, though I didn't need him to say that before I already shot out of my seat in search of the human lady.

  • *Bellatrix*
  • After aimlessly walking around the huge house for almost an hour without finding anything reasonable, I decided to look for him, at least he probably should have an office where he performs his duties even though according to his sister he hadn't in three months. There was only one good excuse to ask his Lycan guards about the office without raising any suspicions. Food.
  • I found the kitchen effortlessly, and thanks to my mother's culinary skills which she had passed down to me, I was able whip up something fast from his almost empty cabinet. The Lycan didn't even have good foodstuffs. Pfft. After making the food, I set it down on a tray and made my way outside, the Lycan guards were standing there. It didn't take much persuasion from my side for them to point out the directions to me because after all I was the Alpha's caretaker, so I went in.
  • Before I entered the office, I had somehow tried to eavesdrop on the conversation between him and a certain person who was inside. There was nothing much they said and nothing important to pick up except the name of a man Elliot who seems to be a threat to their pack.
  • Who could Elliot be though?
  • The man or Lycan as it seems whom Alec had been speaking with jumped in surprise at my entrance. He ended being sent out though after Alec commanded him to in a voice I was quite familiar with — an Alpha's voice of control.
  • I would not deny I felt flustered seeing Alec all cleaned up and for a moment i found myself getting distracted as I uttered that statement with a grin on my face despite his obvious anger at my presence.
  • He came after me.
  • "Stop! Stop right there!" Alec growled from a few feet behind me. I obeyed but I didn't turn back.
  • "Why do you speak to me so casually?" He asked as he stepped in front of me.
  • "I do not understand what you are saying, I address you with your title, that would not be considered casual."
  • "You know what I mean lady!"
  • I grinned, "Bellatrix is the name, Alpha."
  • "You are doing it again" he muttered. "Why are you even still here? I made it clear enough that I didn't want you around."
  • I am here because spying on your pack will answer the questions I've spent a long time asking. "I have no where to go." I lied, not like it was really a lie to begin with, I had nowhere to go in this territory because my home wasn't here.
  • Alec sighed, running his hands through his hair. "You can sleep on the couch then, and make sure you leave first thing tomorrow morning." He stated.
  • "I was not aware you were this mean, what kind of Alpha makes an helpless lady like myself spend the night on a couch when he has an abundance of room in his house..?" I pouted fiddling with my fingers as I sidestepped him to leave.
  • "So mean." I muttered again as I continued walking to the living room. "Well, if I wake up with a broken back tomorrow.. It would be better right? I won't be able to work so I can send my poor sister to school."
  • I bit my lips trying to hide my grin as I kept on muttering, knowing that he could hear me, given Lycans enhanced sense of hearing.
  • "Fine! You can use the first room on your left!" He yelled. I turned to him, smiling widely.
  • "Really?"
  • "Just stay out of my way!"
  • I won't, but I nodded nonetheless.
