- “Mia, wait.” Nathan said, calling me. I turned around to face him and shook my head in question. The man was playing me for a fool. I knew that he was playing me for a fool.
- I needed to go back home to my daughter. If I was going to sit in front of him and listen to his nonsense, if I was going to allow myself to deal with whatever bullshit he thought that he could play, then he was very wrong.
