Chapter 8
- My feet hurried as I chased after Freya. I made to stop her but couldn't. What if she got a change of heart and insisted that we have the conversation in my secret room? That would be my worst doom tonight. It was best I dealt with my bedroom mess.
- “Freya,” I rushed forward, spreading my arms and blocking her way. “My bedroom is also a mess. Can we have this discussion tomorrow?”
- “No, Alpha. I can’t sleep, and it’s all because of you.”
- “Me?” My head slanted in confusion.
- “Yes, Alpha. I don’t care about your messy rooms. However, I know they are lies. You are not one who stays in dirt, so please don't stop me,” she passed by my side and headed to my bedroom.
- My fingers combed through my hair in frustration as I watched her open the door of my bedroom and step in.
- A hard sigh broke out from my lips as I also made my way to my bedroom. My pet lay on my bed, sleeping peacefully.
- “Leo, she was the reason you chose not to let me in?” Freya’s voice was filled with anger and laced on her face.
- “She is not imp…”
- “Send her away,” Freya cut in.
- “I can’t,” I fixed my hands in my robe pockets. “She is fast asleep, and I wouldn't want to wake her up. I will do what’s necessary tomorrow.”
- I noticed the tears that welled up in Freya’s eyes as she gazed at me. She was hurting, but this wasn't a moment to act emotional.
- “Freya, please go to sleep. Let’s do this tomorrow.”
- “I want to spend my first night with my Mate. It’s my right and you know it,” she moved closer.
- “But we aren't official yet. Let’s not do this until things get official.”
- “Are you rejecting me r…”
- “Please can I sleep in peace? The voices are loud,” the voice of my pet interrupted our conversation. My attention was sent in her direction.
- “What?” Freya laughed in disbelief. “How dare a servant speak while I’m speaking?” She rushed toward the bed and rolled the duvet away from my pet’s body. “Get up, and get out!!” Freya roared.
- “To where? This is my room,” my pet reluctantanly responded and I chuckled to myself.
- The anger on Freya’s face lit up and she narrowed her gaze. “Out right now, you filthy thing.”
- “I’m no thing. Don’t speak to me in such a manner,” my pet pulled the duvet from Freya's hand and covered her body with it.
- Freya sent her angry gaze in my direction and I heard her wolf roared in anger. Her wolf was filled with wrath and might take over Freya and attack. I storm towards the bed, and rolled away the duvet from the body of my pet. “Get out, and wait outside. I need my privacy. It’s an order,” my face held no emotion as I looked at her.
- She stood up from the bed, muttered some words on her way out. Unintentionally, my lips dragged in a little smile.
- “I want her gone out of this house,” Freya landed her butt angerlily on the bed.
- I scoffed a little before squatting right in front of her. My hands held hers. “I don’t think the servant deserve all this energy from you. Let her be. You have something to speak to me about, I’m here to listen.”
- “Why do you keep protecting her? Do you hold feelings toward her?”
- Slowly shaking my head, “Nahhh. You know me too well, Freya. I don’t fall for ladies, and even if I wanted to, not for an Omega. She is a servant and will remain as such.” My hands lightly stretched Freya’s cheeks, just the way I used to do with her before she traveled. “You look more beautiful when you smile. So tell me, what troubles you?”
- “Will you reject me or make me your Luna,” she asked and I smiled.
- “What do you want, Freya?”
- She pushed out on the bed, her face drew closer to mine. “Make me your Luna, Leo. I want to be your wife,” she requested.
- I stood up, and she did same. “Please, Leo,” she uttered once more.
- “It’s a hard decision for me, Freya. I want us to speak about this tomorrow. Trust me, my decision won’t hurt you.” I needed to return to my secret place cause my body was beginning to break, but Red was struggling to hold it in.
- “Spend the night with me, Leo,” she held my hands and wrapped them around her waist. Freya wasn't ready to let me go and I was running out of time.
- “Alright, Freya. But I need to pick up something important from my study room,” I took my hands away from her waist.
- My words made her face lit up in a smile, and she nodded her head in agreement.
- I softly sighed in relief as I made my way out of the room. Rushing toward my secret room when my eyes fell on my pet. She was balled on the floor in a deep sleep. I made to sprint past her but my feet halted midway, and I took a second look at her.
- She was shivering because of the cold out here, and the floor was hard.
- “Shit,” I muttered and rushed toward me.
- I picked her up, cuddled her in my arms, and set for my secret room. The door slammed shut when I entered. I dropped her on the bed and took off my robe.
- Without a second passing by, my bones began to crack and break. Intense pain surged through me as I roared out in distress. The fire within me burned and Red whimpered at the feel of it.
- My claws stretched, slashed every part of my flesh, and my furs sprinted out. I was in misery, the same as Red. We both roared as my veins popped out with fire burning in my head. I punched the wall over and over, destroying everything I could set my beastly hands on.
- Weakness suddenly washed over me, sending me landing on the floor. I balled myself, whimpering and struggling to breathe.
- Red was at the verge of dying. The pain was consuming us whole.
- My gaze slowly rose when I saw a figure standing in front of me. It was a huge white wolf with blue eyes. Never seen anything as beautiful as it before.
- She howled in pity and whimpered alongside me. Her hands spread, and she gave my shivering body a hug. I felt her warmness, and strangely, my wounds began to heal. My pain faded. Red also found his strength and he roared out.
- For the first ever since this disease became my woes, I found peace and calmness between my pains.
- Who was this wolf, and what ability does she possess? No one had been able to withstand me during my time of destruction. Not even my parents.
- Every healer that was consulted to help me heal had died brutally in my hands. However, my parents also kept it a secret.
- But here I was in the hands of a strange wolf, and I felt whole and strong.
- What was she?
- My body adjusted a bit in her arms. It was peaceful. My eyes shut in deep sleep.
