Chapter 23

• His hard pull made the plates in my hands smash on the floor. But he paid no attention and slammed the door shut. “The plates, Alpha. What are you doing?” I gazed at him in confusion.
• He strolled closer to me without saying a word, and my feet stumbled backward in fear. He suddenly wrapped his hand around my waist, stopping me from falling. His face stopped just a few inches from mine, and my eyes took every little detail of his features.
• I felt my heart beating faster but I had no idea why. My head, a little lightheaded like I was floating in the air. I felt drawn to him, helplessly pulled into his orbit.
