• “Oh shit, he is already losing control…” Lord Draven mutters as he takes in Killian’s new form, but I’m not afraid of Killian even though he is rather massive. The mate bond is still sizzling between us, and I quickly step forward.
• “No, no, Killian! I didn’t mean it like that!” I place my hand on his large snout, calming the beast, who looks down at me with his glowing red eyes. There’s a silent question in them, and my lips form a smile. “What I meant is that you’re amazing and probably one of a kind. Your old nickname, ‘the black dread,’ truly fits you now.”
