Killian’s question makes my heart pound with the strength of thunder. I don’t have an inner wolf, and I know finding a mate without one is impossible. Never will I be able to feel a true bond. The moon goddess isn’t for humans.
Yet, despite knowing I won’t be able to find my true mate, I’m not sure if that necessarily means I want Killian to mark me as his. I’m in love with him, I’m pregnant with his child, and yes, we are getting married. But I doubt he feels anything remotely romantic for me since I am such a weakling, and therefore, I don’t want his mark.
