• The abandoned cottage is small and dusty. It takes a while to clean it—I have to throw out a rotten chair and a few old magazines before I’m happy. Once I’m done, the cottage is mostly empty except for a stone fireplace. But that’s okay. The cottage is large enough for one of us to sleep in wolf form and act like a bed for the other person.
• “Its going to be really cozy with the fire in here,” I tell Killian as I approach the fireplace.
