Chapter 5 Pack Doctor

• A lot of things were running through Racheal's mind as she checked her account balance in agony. However, that wasn't why she was there.
• " Good morning manager" she proclaimed passively but the bald man chose to ignore her after all, who knows a broke customer.
• "I am here to inquire about the loan"
• "Still void. I am sorry miss Matthias I..." She cleared her throat seemingly annoyed.
• "It's Miss Matthew baldie. You know what? I don't need the loan anymore and I am closing my account. Idiot" she uttered a profanity at him yet it didn't faze him.
• "Yes, ma'am" he counterparts resuming his work.
• "I need my money now" she demanded.
• The security threw her out of the bank premises with a warning. Imagine humans threatening a werewolf. She arranged her clothes and headed to her residence going for a run. Pearl needs it though she thinks she needed it more.
• The sun was setting by the time she was done whining. She went for a bath then applied the potion recalling Landon's instructions. It seems she was going through with it. Being poor sucks thus she dressed formally for a first impression perhaps for someone else.
• Her grey hair fell on her shoulder as she waited impatiently for him.
• She checked her wristwatch for the umpteenth time sighing assuming he changed his mind. She was going to be kicked out of the house soon. The thought of it crumbled her faith which had her retreating to the house but stopped at the honk of a car. She has never been that happy.
• "Thank you universe " she exclaimed waiting for them to alight the car.
• " Sorry for keeping you waiting. Shall we? "He said politely .she shrugged entering the car.
• " I am thinking of paying you a million dollars for a month .." He hesitated to detect her response and it worked as she tensed staring at him.
• "What? A million? Tell me you are not joking cos I like money" she conveyed disappointed in herself for being a spendthrift.
• "Like is an understatement. I love spending money but since you're willing to give. who am I to refuse, after all, I am working for it" she smirked earning a grin from Landon.
• " If you will let me finish. I will pay you a million dollars if you work in our hospital. You don't have to live there if you want but there is a well-furnished apartment for you " her eyes widened. She was getting everything for free: a house without bills and a million dollars salary plus she gets to see her mate daily. What more could one ask for. So she smiled at him sealing it with a handshake.
• "Yes yes yes! What's next? I don't like surprises please " she informed him buckling her seat belt " I am coming back, right? There are few things I will like to take" she adds already seated in Landon's car.
• "Everything is ready. I am here to collect you but if you insist I will have someone bring them. My beta is very important to my Alpha" Rachel just shrugged wondering if he was assessing her. No one exposes their true identity to others but she didn't forget to play along feigning curiosity whenever he mentions it.
• Her properties can wait. She needed the money. Besides, her valuables were in the bank. The car revved and it started moving why she relaxed in the backseat.
• The driver took a different path as she looked at Landon. There were trees and a vast landscape ahead. It appeared they were in a different civilization with massive buildings and a very big hospital she could tell because it was written boldly on a billboard.
• She hasn't seen a pack that vast in her life. With mental calculation, she assumed there were more than five hundred occupants in the pack. Her mate was indeed a powerful Alpha. Pearl was impressed.
• " He's a good leader and very rich. I know you love spending Rachael" Rachael giggled resuming her tour concurring to pearl's indication.
• " What is this place called? I haven't seen anything like this. So natural and pristine" Landon scoffed rolling his sleeves to his elbow.
• " The new moon City. Beautiful right? That's because we have the best Alpha in the world"
• "That guy I met at the hospital right? His name is unique" pearl blushed at the mention of him but she wanted to know his name.
• " Actually..." Landon paused looking over his shoulder to see Cindy looking at them from where she's standing, waiting for them in front of the hospital.
• The car break as they alighted. Cindy wasn't expecting Rachel to be a beauty with her grey hair and fair skin and a hot statue but smiled at her choice of clothing.
• " So, you're the new doctor. Welcome to new moon City. This way" Rachael twitched her mouth, following her in. She was never the type to admire other people's looks but Cindy was a slim thick girl that she almost felt jealous of having an average figure. Almost.
• She thought the hospital was gorgeous from the exterior design but she had herself rethinking it when she saw the interior design. The architectural design was glamorous. The departments stood out with their vivid colors and patterns.
• "Your eyes might fall off doc" Landon taunted amused.
• "Let her look its obvious she had seen nothing like it" Cindy sass.
• "It's just so dreamy. Being here and all. I am so going to work here till I build my hospital. Wow," she just couldn't bottle it in.
• " Larry is this way," Landon said directing her to the private sector.
• "What's your name doc? Cindy interrogated.
• " Rachael or Rachelle whatever way you like and the last name is Matthew. No mistake" Cindy rolled her eyes at her not in a bitchy kind of way but at her bluntness.
• " Cindy Jones. I hope you last the week cos the alpha is very strict. Most doctors get kicked out within a day or two. What can I say he's just perfect" she said blushing exuding a growl from pearl. She was hitting on their mate.
• "That sounds like anger issues to me. Please don't tell me he's bipolar?" She asked in grievance making pearl whimper then she heard a growl.
