• Summer's smile was bright and effortless, yet there was a hint of calculation behind it. "I'm Yelena, and this is my brother Bryce. And you are?"
• Lorenzo's eyes widened for a split second. He froze before laughing awkwardly. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry! I must have mistaken you for someone else. You two look almost identical—like you're twins." He repeated his apology, almost tripping over his words. "Sorry, sorry about that."
• Summer gave a warm, almost mischievous smile as she looped her arm through Bryce's. Without another word, they walked away, crossing the threshold of the door. As they stepped outside, Summer exhaled slowly, her shoulders loosening from the tension.
