Chapter 95 Starting Afresh

• Alexander left Ross Manor with a storm burning in his chest. His hands gripped the wheel harder than normal. He lit one cigar, then another until he lost count of how much he had smoked. Yet, it did nothing to calm him down.
• He wasn’t angry anymore. Just tired and empty. He drove aimlessly through the quiet city, not realising where he was until he stopped at the private cemetery where his mother was buried.
• For years, whenever he felt tired or overwhelmed, this was where he went. But tonight, for the first time in over twenty years, he couldn't bring himself to enter. He stared through the windshield, dragging in smoke until it burned, then exhaled hard and drove away.
