Chapter 14 Fourteen

• The bath water swirls around my body, warm and scented with lavender. I sink deeper, trying to ease the ache in my lower back. The marble tub is large enough for me to stretch out completely, a luxury I never imagined having.
• I close my eyes and let out a long sigh, allowing the tension from dinner to dissolve in the steaming water.
• I don't hear the door open, but the sudden feeling of being watched makes me look up.
