Chapter 29 Day Seven: A Clear Conscience

• Emmett wiped away his tears as he parked in front of the police station. This was the last thing he had to do. He was going to turn himself in for the murder of Melanie Smith.
• He got out of the car and walked into the station with his shirt dangling over his left shoulder. He couldn't put it on because his right shoulder was still hurting from the birthmark that Don Giulio gave him.
• He ignored the stares and walked straight to one of the officers. "I'm here to see Detective Johnson." He said softly.
