• Emmett ran his fingers through his hair as Fey let him out of the main gate. He sped out of the compound and drove onto the road.
• He lied. He didn't have any idea what he was going to do. He lied to Fey to calm her down. Lying was coming easily to him nowadays.
• He let out a deep sigh and pulled the car to a stop next to the curb. He had to think of what to do. He could start by putting down a to-do list of the things he had to make right.
