• I almost shrieked when I heard the alpha speaking from the threshold of the door. I didn't sense his presence, and I didn't even hear his footsteps approaching. His forehead was full of sweat. I could also see how quickly his shoulders were moving up and down because of how he tried to catch his breath.
• "What did you do outside for you to look so tired, Master Siege?" I couldn't suppress myself from asking. Other than being curious about his activity, I was also intrigued to know if he still crossed paths with Leo after he told him to get off of his territory.
