Chapter 46 - Mom, Dad Is Sick

- I lay there deep in thought when I notice the sound of bird chirping outside. The sun is halfway over the horizon, breaking the darkness that come before. This is supposed to be a sign of hope, but I feel empty inside. I feel drain and hopeless.
- “Did you stay up all night?” His voice brings me back from my dreadful thought. I nodded in respond.
