Chapter 34 Summit Of Power
- The ninetieth floor of Morello Tower felt colder than usual as night wrapped its heavy shadows around the Manhattan skyline. Thousands of skyscraper lights blinked in the distance below, resembling an endless sea of artificial stars. Yet inside Casian Morello’s private office, there was no beauty to be admired. The air in the room was thick with a suffocating tension capable of breaking bone.
- Megan stood straight in front of the black marble desk, both palms planted flat against the cold surface while her hazel eyes stared sharply at the computer screen displaying the latest quarterly financial reports. A cup of steaming black coffee sat untouched beside him, but the dark, dangerous intensity of his gaze remained locked entirely on Megan.
