Chapter 82 Promised

  • In Bleeding Moon, my family wasn’t high up enough to live in the packhouse with Dylan. Honestly, we were barely part of the pack. We lived so far from it. And now that I think back on it, I’m so glad we didn’t live with him. He would have had full access to me. I never would have been able to get out from under him. I’ve never really been in a packhouse, and while this is my first time, I know this one is larger than Dylan’s. It’s so grand. It’s a mansion. If that. A chateau would be a better word. A fucking massive one.
  • As we walk in, my imagination couldn’t have pictured this. It was perfect. I don’t mean that in an uncomfortable, sterilized place. I mean in it was perfect for me. I had a feeling this wasn’t a conventional packhouse from the exterior, but… wow. I stared at a living room that had to be at least forty feet wide. A navy blue sectional with gold trim that was probably the size of my living room back home stretched out in front of me. Matching oversize chairs sat on either side with a tan table in the middle that looked like it was detachable. There was a beautiful black piano at the foot of a long black staircase with black curved railings that led to the second floor.
  • But that wasn’t all. Behind the sectional was another set of oversized chairs, cute tan tables, and lights on around the space. At the far back, there were double doors and halls leading outside. There were more railings on the second floor and windows lined the part of the hallways I couldn’t see from where I stood. The interior had a black and white color scheme.
