• When I woke up, I was feeling fine. When I showered, nothing was out of the ordinary. When I waved goodbye to Ezra from the front porch, I was feeling excited to head to work. When I got ready for work, I didn't feel anything wrong with me.
• The day seemed bright and promising, the sun casting a warm glow over the pack house. I was all smiles as I walked to my car, a shiny blue new Nissan Terrano that Ezra had gifted me only this morning, waving at the members of Ezra's pack milling around. They smiled back. Some greeted me good morning. I felt a sense of belonging from these interactions.
