• Bella was speechless. She couldn’t comprehend why Jessica was in her apartment or why she’d insulted her. It had been a while since they’d seen each other, and Bella couldn’t recall doing anything that might have offended her sister.
• But how could she not feel angry, seeing the person who had once tried to kill her lounging casually on her sofa, still audacious enough to throw insults? "What are you doing here?" she demanded.
• "Why can’t I be here? Isn’t this the apartment Vaughn got you? It’s not yours, so what right do you have to kick me out?"
