Chapter 4 Thea Is In Trouble

  • Chapter - 04
  • "Let go of me... I am not yet done with that cheating bastard and his bitch," Thea struggled to break free from the grip of Stacy and the others holding her.
  • "You have done enough already. Don't make more trouble for us," Stacy said as they pushed Thea into a chair. They had brought Thea to the security room of the restaurant.
  • "You want me to let it go? That bastard was cheating..." Thea tried to get back up, but just as she tried, the room echoed with a slap.
  • "Enough," Yes, Stacy slapped Thea right across her face, trying to snap Thea out of it. And it did the trick. Thea stood still, and the situation began to get clearer in her head.
  • "I know you are hurt. But stop now... You have already done enough," Stacy, when saw that Thea had finally calmed down, put her hand over Thea's shoulder and softly said. She roughly understood what was going on. Stacy knew how much Thea loved her boyfriend. Whenever they were alone, her boyfriend was the only thing they talked about.
  • With Stacy's words, it finally dawned upon Thea. Her legs went numb, and Thea crashed into the chair. She looked down at her hands, and She had a bunch of hair in her palms. And Thea knew whose hair were these. She was so out of it that she did not even know what she was doing. But judging by the state of the hair in her hands, she could guess that she was in trouble.
  • 'At this rate, I will surely be suspended from school. And not just the school, even the police were not out of the question,' Now that Thea thought about it, she started to freak out. Finally, Barry was taking the back seat in Thea's mind, and she started worrying about herself.
  • Thea hurriedly dropped the hair and rubbed her palms as hard as she could. She was not sure what she wanted to get rid of, but she was getting anxious with every second.
  • Even Stacy felt sad when she saw Thea in this state. She even felt disappointed in herself for doubting her friend.
  • "Thea, everything..." Stacy wanted to console Thea, but before she could say anything, the door burst open, and the manager rushed inside.
  • "You worthless whore," the manager pushed away Stacy and grabbed Thea by her collar, pulling her up.
  • "Why did you do it, huh?"The manager glared at Thea with her nostrils flaring.
  • "Just because I made you clean toilets?"
  • "You lost on heavy tips?"
  • "Fucking bastard... You ruined it all for me,"
  • "Manager..." Stacy tried to explain it on Thea's behalf, "That's not it. The girl..."
  • "You shut up," the manager glared at Stacy, "That girl is Amanda Wilson. The daughter of Frank Wilson, the most powerful man in this city. And not only did you go after his man, but you bastard bloody hit Miss Amanda?”
  • "Hahaha...You are gone you, bastard," the manager looked back at Thea who was not resisting in the slightest and had her head hung low, “No god, Buddha, Jesus or Allah can save this bastard now."
  • And just as the manager finished speaking, the door swung open again, and men dressed in black suits walked in together.
  • "Is it her?" the one in the front pointed at Thea and asked the manager.
  • "Yes, sir," the manager's haughtiness evaporated in thin air, and like a docile cow, she nodded her head, "This bastard, Thea is the one who hit Miss Amanda."
  • "Thea Smith," the man spoke up, "You are lucky… The Master wants to brush up the matter in a civil way, but if it were up to me...
  • “Nevertheless, we have filed a complaint with the police. You have been charged with physical assault, bodily harm, mental trauma, attempt to murder, rape and a bunch others..."
  • "Attempt to murder? Rape? Are…" Stacy called out in shock.
  • "If..." The man interrupted Stacy as he continued to look at Thea, "If you don't want to rot in jail. Then you will have to pay one million dollars for all the distress you have caused our young miss."
  • "And a hundred thousand dollars to me for all the damage you have done," the manager chipped in her amount.
  • "What?" Thea could not believe she heard it right. Her throat went dry, and her legs almost gave in. She had never even dreamt of having this much money. If one were to check her pockets right now, she wouldn't even have hundred dollars with her. And they were asking what? A million dollars? Huh... Even if she sold everything in her body, she might not be able to earn that much.
  • "Wh... Where do you think I will get that much money? Huh? HOW?" Thea turned hysterical, "Do you guys not think twice before snatching everything from someone like me? I worked day and night, only to find that my boyfriend cheated on me."
  • "...He forgot countless times I ran at night, not caring about rain or cold for his joy and suffering to be with a girl who once, only once, helped him out. And if that was not all, you want to squeeze me until I break? Don't you..." Thea yelled at the top of her voice, letting out all the frustration she had.
  • "So what? I don't care if you have been eating rocks for food. If you can't pay the money..." the man interrupted Thea. He looked at Thea in disdain as he threatened the latter, but before he could complete, there was a knock on the door, and the door opened.
  • "Excuse me..." Two policemen walked in.
  • "Someone reported an assault..."
  • "She is right here," the man leading the black suits spoke up, pointing at Thea, "I filed the report. She assaulted the youngest daughter of the Wilson Family."
  • "Wilson Family?" The policemen were taken aback by the identity of the victim, "Youngest daughter? Did you mean Amanda Wilson?"
  • "Who else would it be?" the man looked in disdain towards the police officers.
  • "Are you sure it is not her who beat up someone?" one of the police officers asked.
  • "Would we have called you if that was the case?" The man was getting impatient, "Hurry up and take her away."
  • "Sir, yes, sir..." The police officers almost saluted the man. Getting the order, the two of them did not even waste a second before grabbing Thea by her arms from both sides.
  • "It's a misunderstanding."
  • "Mister, give me a chance to explain," Thea twisted and turned as she looked at the man in charge and pleaded.
  • "Manager... Please..."
  • But the police officer did not let go of Thea and dragged her out of the room under numerous gazes.
  • ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
  • "So you tried to rape your, no, I mean Miss Amanda's boyfriend? Man… Even boys are not safe in this world." The officer tasked with taking the statements from Thea sighed helplessly.
  • "I told you... I never did anything to him," Thea tried desperately to deny everything.
  • "… I beat Amanda in the spur of the moment. I was angry when I found that... that my boyfriend was cheating on me," Alex explained for the nth time, "And I did nothing to my boyfriend."
  • "Ex- boyfriend. He broke up with you, which he is entitled to," The policeman corrected Thea, "Not that you are any good. Except for your pretty face, and that nice figure you have nothing. From what I can see, you have no money, no family, no connections, nothing. Do you think a smart boy would waste his life with you?" The police officer looked at Thea from top to bottom, “It was all for fun. Which I guess he had a lot.”
  • "That..."
  • "I don't care," the officer waved his hand and stopped Thea, "If you want to get out of this mess, either cough up the money and settle it, or..." the officer looked meaningfully at Thea.
  • "Or?"
  • "Spend the rest of your miserable life in prison," the officer smirked, "You will surely entertain everyone there."
  • "What does that..."
  • "Thea... Thea?" At that time, Stacy rushed inside the police station, yelling Thea's name.
  • "Are you alright? Did they hurt you?" Stacy looked over Thea in concern.
  • "Girl... Who are you, girl?" The police officer slammed the file in his hand when he saw Stacy ignore him.
  • "Here," Stacy threw a bundle of notes in front of the officer and said, "Here... Take this and let her go."
  • "What is this?" the officer asked, looking at the money.
  • "It's five thousand dollars. Her bail money," Stacy did not cower in front of the police officer.
  • "Hehe... Hahaha..." Just as the officer heard Stacy, he began to laugh hysterically, turning every head in the station towards them.
  • "What the... Has he gone mad?" Stacy cursed.
  • It took some time before the officer got a hold of himself and controlled himself.
  • "What's so funny?" Stacy squinted her eyes and glared at the officer.
  • "Who said she is going anywhere?"
