Chapter 41 Tragic Death

• Amber stood in the doorway, her heart heavy with a mixture of emotions as she gazed upon Stefan, sprawled out on the sofa. Despite the tension that lingered between them, a pang of concern tugged at her conscience.
• "Stefan," she called out softly, her voice tinged with frustration and worry. "What are you doing here?"
• Stefan stirred slightly at her voice, his eyelids fluttering open as he attempted to focus on her figure in the dimly lit room. "Amber?" he mumbled groggily, his words slurred from the effects of alcohol. "Is that you?" He asked sternly. His voice changed instantly, and his demeanor turned sour.
