• Taken aback by Stefan's sudden outburst, Amber shook her head quickly. "No, Stefan, it's not like that," she protested, her voice tinged with concern. "I just want to pull my weight and contribute financially. I don't want to feel like I owe you anything."
• Stefan's anger seemed to simmer at her explanation, but he still looked troubled. "I don't want your money, Amber," he admitted. "I hope you'll have a good time at your newly found job," he added angrily.
• Amber sighed, feeling frustrated and disappointed as Stefan kept taunting her. "I only wanted to pay your favor. By the way, I didn't get the job," she admitted reluctantly.
