• Cassie’s POV.
• This was the first time I was sobbing about this issue, and I got some sort of comfort from a fellow human. One would have thought the pain should be less because this was what I used to wish for, having someone to cry together and share this pain with or generally just someone to hold my hands and let me know that everything was going to be fine.
• Rather, I felt even more ache in my heart. My position on Shawn’s body just reminded me of how pathetic my life has been, and so many issues I have had to deal with and figure out on my own.
